Edit 11/21/25: Usually never do this, but my mobo is still running VERY strong! Been through a cpu swap and ram within the last 13 months since owning this board. I've had MSI or Gigabyte motherboards for years now. I saw this brand pop-up and did some digging. Decided to go with this ASRock mobo for my upgrades to a 7800x3D and 7900XTX. Does everything I need it to do, has multiple M.2 slots. Not sure why people are saying the boot times are very slow. The initial boot of reading the DDR5 RAM took a few minutes, but after that, I've had no issues for 3 months now. Great motherboard, on the cheaper end, and you get what you need. 10/10 satisfied ... show more

2 Months and Works Flawlessly w/ Ryzen 9 7950x3d

I have had this since July 2024. This AsRock mobo is great. I previously had an AsRock mobo and I loved it. So i went with this. Has plenty of Pcie slots and has 3 m.2 NVME slots (from what I know. I have a Ryzen 9 7950x3d with a GPU of 6750xt. Works like a champ. No need for getting something over $250 (i think its all fluff). This mobo has the bang for the buck. Excellent motherboard

Everything worked without effort when assembling my new computer. Running with a 7950X3D, 64 GB RAM, MSI Gaming Trio 4090 and various NVME and non-NVME SSDs. EXPO memory configuration worked without effort or problem, despite the problems some motherboards have. BIOS flashing was quick and painless, though a note for buyers that when a BIOS flash is started the machine reboots and goes back into the BIOS to do the flash, which surprised me. I thought the flashing procedure 'crashed'. Serviceable network and sound. One minor missing feature is it does not come with a pair of status LED characters to show specific boot states during boot, but rather a set of 4 single LEDs to indicate where the board is in the boot state, and any problems. Less details, for sure, but only a problem if you have a problem. First boot takes a while, because of memory training, but successive boots can be fast if fast boot is enabled (and future AGESA updates should improve that). This is not unique to this motherboard, but rather all Ryzen 7000 series motherboards. ... show more

Great Stealth MoBo

I like a minimalist look for my PC internals. So finding a board with as little obnoxiously styled writing and logos all over it takes some time. Yes, there are other boards that have less flair and style, but at the price point I picked this up, it was a no brainer. I had no issues with the BIOS pairing it up with a 7800x3D and RAM boot options have been quick and stable. This board doesn’t come with WiFi or Bluetooth, but I didn’t want WiFi or to pay extra for features I wasn’t going to use. I added a <$20 micro Bluetooth dongle to be able to use my wireless headset, done. Ultra fast m2 slot for the ssd and plenty of fast USB options. ... show more

Board dead, killed CPU.

Purchased Feb '23, is now out of warranty with ASRock, and they want $207 to fix it which will include a 3 month warranty on the fix... Or I could just buy a brand new board with a different company that has longer than 1 year warranty. I was having some weird issues with my system, then it stopped powering on to POST. I've had a Gigabyte board fail on me in the past, and their RMA system and customer support is as bad as you can get. I was having some similar issues before this POST failure, and decided to contact both ASRock and AMD to see who was going to charge me to ship to them. AMD was free, so I sent my 7950X to them. They verified it was dead, and sent me a brand new one - zero charge at all. They even had the people at FedEx box it up for me, so I didn't need to even worry about packaging. I put the new chip in, and it hesitates to power on, but sure enough it does. Get into BIOS to check things real quick and make sure my RAM is still working (the Gigabyte board forever ago also killed one of my sticks, GSkill had no charge to ship and replace the entire kit). All is good so I power it down and get it back in the case and reassembled. Go to power on and no hesitation this time. Sleep mode when I'm done, and another gaming session I to sleep mode next day. The next one after that, I see that it shut down from sleep mode. Either it crashed, or windows did an update because I forgot to check if there were any pending in the previous two days. Hesitates to power on then get into windows. Had a quick GPU driver crash and recovery. Next day comes along and it shut down from sleep mode again. Hesitates to POST, gets in windows, and drivers crash about a dozen times in a row inside 2 seconds. Then the system shuts down and refuses to boot into BIOS. It completes POST twice but no BIOS. Then it stops POSTing again until it refuses to power on. I think there is something seriously wrong with the VRMs at this point, and likely killed another CPU. Instead of paying a full price for a board with a 3 month bandaid, I'm going to hit up a MSI board when I get the funds for it. This has really left a bad taste in my mouth. The board was everything I was looking for though, plenty of m.2, USB ports, the correct spaced PCIe slots, etc. But... Not gonna take a dying board like this with no protections. Way too reminiscent of the Gigabyte fiasco I had to go through. ... show more

Update BIOS - only use EXPO ram!!

I had a horrible time setting my system up using this motherboard at first. I had weird issues like the LAN card not detecting a connection and tons of lag when I installed AMD Adrenalin. I hadn't updated the BIOS (which you're never prompted to do with their built-in software), and I was using Intel-XMP ram (which the documentation claims it can handle -- there's even an option for that profile in BIOS). I updated the BIOS and uninstalled Adrenalin, and that seemed to fix a lot of my issues (my LAN internet was working, Windows wasn't laggy, but Starfield was laggy in some areas using a 7900 XTX). I ordered AMD EXPO rated ram (Corsair 6000 cl30), installed that, installed Adrenalin, and there was no lag in Windows or in Starfield. So, I highly recommend doing 2 things - updating the BIOS and only using AMD EXPO rated ram!! After that, this motherboard seems to work flawlessly (only time will tell), and it looks really cool in my black case. I'm not planning on doing any manual overclocking, so I can't rate that. Overall I think this is a good board (very solid build quality too) -- you just have to know the quirks with DDR5 ram. ... show more

DOA - NO Tech Support Provided by Either Amazon or ASROCK

I recently built 3 compters with this motherboard. One of them ended up being defective. It would not be able to get thru POST on different boot ups. It would sit at a Black Screen with a White Cursor underline. I tried to contact Amazon and ASRock for warranty Support and neither of them have responded. Its been 6 days already. Not even an automated response. I am not happy about that at all. The NIC onboard also failed. It kept corrupting its own drivers and losing the connections. I guess i go back to ASUS. ... show more

Fantastic motherboard. Works great with my AMD 9800X3D. No shared PCIe lanes!

I paired this with an AMD 9800X3D and 96GB RAM clocked at 6000MHz. Everything has been solid. I love that I don't have to worry about which device will share PCIe lanes with other devices as there's no lane sharing.
