I was a little worried that this MB had the older BIOS and did not work with the 5600X CPU and I needed to find a way to flash the MB with newer BIOS/firmware.     • Good budget motherboard for 3000 series Ryzen
Got this board for a ryzen 3900x, works good out of the box. Took a star off for DRAM compatibility. It wasn't posting at first with the DRAM post status checker light on. thought it was something wrong with my DRAM but swapped it with another set from my other system and it worked fine.

    • Great Value Board, Somewhat of a Hassle to Install
I don’t think you’ll find a cheaper B550 Micro ATX with as many features as this board. However, the build quality does reflect with the price I paid for it (89.99 USD before tax). The I/O shield is total garbage. They have these ground prongs for some of the I/O ports. I haven’t seen these before in my other builds. What they can do is end going into the ports if you don’t alight the board correctly. I didn’t catch this till the very end of the build process, requiring me to disassemble and start again. All of the RAM slots made these unsettling crunchy/gritty noises when I installed the RAM sticks, almost like you’re chewing on sand. The manual was also printed in a tiny font size. I received this all white Matx case and so I was in need of a Matx motherboard that would look perfect and I can not exaggerate how great this motherboard looks and fits so well with my build. I spent countless hours and hours just trying to find the perfect motherboard. The Bios is SUPER EASY to navigate and go through. I did not have any trouble booting up even though I bought this as “used-good” with damaged packaging it was still functional.     • works great but DOESNT SUPPORT RYZEN 5000 without bios update
Cons: 1) this mobo dont support ryzen 5000, you need a bios update 2) has no Q-flash, you need a cpu (ryzen 3000s) to update the bios 3) you also need a usb (FAT-32 Format), to update the bios or u can use software in win10 4) the initial bootup is buggy as hell! with 3900x installed, it got no signal to monitor with display port plugged into GPU, but works with HDMI , though DP works after i got all the drivers installed Pros: 1) looks really good aesthetically 2) it got a fat VRM heatsink, if u upgrade the thermal pad on it, u can go all ham on overclockin the mighty R9 5950X no problem! 3) got all the modern features like PCI-E 4.0 and M.2 PCI-E 4.0 slot 4) 7 usb + 1 usb-c slot 5) very simple and user friendly bios 6) cheap n cost effective for all the features provided ... show more

    • Must update BIOS for internal graphics
This is advertised as compatible for Zen 3, so it will work with a 5700G, right? Wrong. It ships with BIOS 1.20, which is compatible with most 5000 series, except the "G" versions. So you must update the BIOS with some CPU that it does support. I used a Ryzen 3600, and BIOS 2.20. Now at least it boots. That is progress. What is AMD thinking?     • Great motherboard can't beat the price
No issues, everything is working as intended. Shipped with the latest BIOS 2.20. Running a 3700x, HyperX 3466 ram that's on the QVL list and samsung 970 EVO plus with a WD blue as secondary NVMe. Did a fresh install of windows 11. Been running for over a month now all still Good.
