Worked out of the box, which isn't enough for a 5 star, but it seems like good quality for the price, there was care that even though the board is dense feature wise it has a layout that works well, I wouldn't say the documentation is great but they actually included paper documentation which is an awesome item in todays tech world. Manual has layout, it has everything I need to connect, nvme, pcie, memory, I didn't have any problems but I could only run it for a night on temporary ddr4 ram so long term stability is questionable. ... show more

    • Works great with 5900XT, but read on about PCIe slots

I bought this in 2026 and it comes with the latest BIOS so the Ryzen 5900XT ("Vermeer") worked out of the box! It has 3 PCI slots but the innermost one is for your graphics card, and most graphics cards will also block the next PCI slot. That leaves one left at the very bottom edge, but it's right in the way of the intake airflow for the graphics card so you'll likely want to leave it empty too. I think the PCI slots are only practically usable if you are also using a CPU with integrated graphics and do not need a dedicated graphics card. If you are using a graphics card just plan on not having any other PCI slots available. That said, this motherboard has great audio, tons of USB ports, and ethernet, so I can't imagine what more I'd want to plug into a PCI slot.     • works great but DOESNT SUPPORT RYZEN 5000 without bios update

Cons: 1) this mobo dont support ryzen 5000, you need a bios update 2) has no Q-flash, you need a cpu (ryzen 3000s) to update the bios 3) you also need a usb (FAT-32 Format), to update the bios or u can use software in win10 4) the initial bootup is buggy as hell! with 3900x installed, it got no signal to monitor with display port plugged into GPU, but works with HDMI , though DP works after i got all the drivers installed Pros: 1) looks really good aesthetically 2) it got a fat VRM heatsink, if u upgrade the thermal pad on it, u can go all ham on overclockin the mighty R9 5950X no problem! 3) got all the modern features like PCI-E 4.0 and M.2 PCI-E 4.0 slot 4) 7 usb + 1 usb-c slot 5) very simple and user friendly bios 6) cheap n cost effective for all the features provided ... show more

Good looking board with expected performance. The issue with these boards is that a fault pops up after some usage where it will not post. The diagnostic lights just keep blinking. (See vid) No idea what the issue really is. If you search Google for this board several hundred examples of this failure will come up. Tech support is very quick, but with this board you will be RMAing it. December update: I have sent the RMA for a while now. No response from ASRock. When I send an email to literally every email I could find about ASRock I then get a response with an email address and phone number to call. That email is saying they are closed for the holidays and will return in 2023. This is the worst RMA experience I have ever had. Do not do business with ASRock . . . January update: I finally receive an email from the RMA manager saying the board is out of warranty. They were contacted in August about the issue, RMA request filled out before the end of the 1 year warranty. Because of ASRock not answering they claim it's now out of warranty. Do not buy ASRock unless you want to end up with dead products! ... show more
