  • It works but ive been having lots of problems
So when i first got this motherboard i tried installing windows 11 and it failed, i had to turn off csm OProm(whatever that is) to "do not launch", and it let me install windows 11, now it just wont let me activate my windows key(which is a legit retail key) ive had this key on 3 Pc's now, ive even deactivate my old pc windows key and activating it on this board but still fails(error code 0x803fa067), i really dont wanna buy another windows key, there so disgustingly expensive... hopefully i can contact microsoft to figure this out eventually... other than that hardware wise everything seems to work. ... show more

  • ASROCK... Still solid. [Welp... Nevermind: Update Nov 1 2022]
Update Nov. 1 2022. Original Purchase April 8, 2022. Welp. 7 months in and Wireless died. Sending in for Warranty replacement. Lets see how that goes. ====Original Review=== I ran an Extreme 4 on my Sandybridge for... Well... Until I bought this one. The only problem I had with the first one was during a storm. Ethernet went out on that one. Bought a daughter card and was set. Ended up better than most of the people on my block. Almost every one of my neighbors TVs died that night. That old Sandybridge PC is still in circulation today. Given that it lasted 10 years I figured I've give ASRock another shot. This board is performing quite well so far. Didnt need to Flash mine to run my 5900X R9-5900X runs well on a 240 closed loop. 2x16 3600 Corsair Dominator 3070ti 2x 980 Pro @ 2TB in Raid 1 Solid. Wifi 6 works well too. ... show more

  • although it's AM4 socket, it doesn't support Ryzen 2000 series. tested with Ryzen 7 2700X
it's a good motherboard if you have the Ryzen 3000 and above. but if you have a Ryzen 2000, although have the same socket for the CPU. the mother board will not support it.

  • Solid Board
I've had good experiences with AsRock on X99 with their Extreme4 board, so I figured I'd go AsRock this time around as well. The only thing that disappointed me about this board was actually the RGB software, it's not all that good with mediocre lighting effects and it doesn't link with anything else in my system like Asus Aura would have, I regret not buying the STRIX board for that specific reason. Otherwise, like other reviewers have said, this board is a great option. The WiFi is good, it has a nice assortment of features as well as a USB Type C header (other people have been happy about that, I personally don't care but it's a nice touch) and it has RGB headers (one of each type, aRGB 5v as well as standard RGB 12v) as well as most other creature comforts. Just bear in mind that this board does not have BIOS flashback, I didn't need it but if you're getting 5th gen Ryzen and don't have a supported previous gen chip to update the BIOS with, you're SOL from everything I can tell. Luckily, the Gigabyte and ASUS B550 boards in this price range have that, so you can just go with one of those. All in all, I'm happy with the board and glad I used it to power my new ITX system. Having Gen4 support is great, and the two M.2 ports this board came with enabled me to run M.2 for boot and an additional Samsung M.2 1TB NVMe for games storage. The one complaint I have is that the right-angle SATA ports are not very accessible in my case, but that could have been compensated for by better planning on my part. ... show more

  • One of the best AM4 motherboards!
This board is perfect for SFF builders! Pros: -great AM4 CPUs compatibility -supports 2x NVME -great power delivery for overclockers -great memory compatibility -3x fan headers -wifi 6/ax Cons: Not a con for some but just for very small SFF cases (like Dan A4 H2O). The sata cable sockets are positioned sideways so they might get blocked in the case. Other than that. This motherboard is awesome! ... show more

  • Solid mITX board with the features I need!
I'll make my review short, and address some of the concerns. My board shipped with UEFI version 1.10, which doesn't support 5000-series Ryzen processors. I loaded up my flash drive with the 1.80 update from ASRock, plopped it in, fired up the UEFI, flashed the firmware, rebooted the system, and installed Windows without a hitch. The flashing took no more than 5 minutes to fully complete, but be aware, you may need a spare system to get the updated UEFI file onto a flash drive, so this isn't "out-of-the-box" for those who don't prepare. The 1.80 firmware includes an option to change the LED lighting in UEFI, so you can set it to a myriad of different options, or just "Off". I'd seen someone complain about this not being an option, but on the latest firmware, it's there now. Everything else works just as I'd expect for my build (R5 5600X, 16GB of 2133Mhz RAM - replacing soon with G.Skill 32GB 3200Mhz, Samsung 970 Evo M.2 1TB, and RTX 3060Ti). If I had to be at all picky, the UEFI does take about 5-10 seconds to get going, but Windows boots so fast you practically miss the spinning dots. All in all, this board, at the price I purchased it for, is super solid, supports PCIe 4.0, and has all of the bells and whistles I need for the next 5-7 years! ... show more

  • Works great for the most part.
After I corrected the small inconveniences, it's a great motherboard. Received July 2021 with bios version 1.2. Bought this motherboard to use with a Ryzen 5700G. Had to swap in an old CPU and GPU to run bios just to update the bios to run the 5700G. After installing windows and finishing the setup, the wifi was not working. The motherboards wifi card wasn't being recognized by windows. After a bit of troubleshooting I ended up disassembling the mother board, reseating the wifi card, and reassembled. Worked great after that. ... show more
