  • Decent board but weird issues
Style: Motherboard
Installing the board was very nice. The connectors are very easily accessible and user-friendly. It looks really cool even with the stock RGB. And it works for the most part which is OK. But I did have some trouble with it and I might need to RMA it. Waiting on some new parts to switch out and see. - Took 3 power cycles to POST after I first had everything connected. Luckily this was all it took. - Looks like it comes ready to overclock your CPU. I have an unlocked chip and it's running at 1Ghz higher than the box stated. Not sure if this was the CPU or the mobo's doing, but I don't want to overclock it. Why is it overclocking by default? Find out next time on DBZ. - BIOS update severely needed right out of the box or else there will be a lot of compatibility issues with OS, drivers, and hardware. - System is locking up after a couple of hours of gaming with no errors, BSODs, or event logs. I think it's a RAM incompatibility (Corsair Vengeance). I have a new "compatible" set on the way but that's more money I needed to spend just because the board doesn't like the RAM. - XMP is automatically turned on and you can't disable it. XMP essentially allows you to throttle or overclock your RAM and you can't turn it off and let it run stock. You can only turn it down. And the XMP settings are not very user friendly so you have to be extremely careful when tweaking these. So yeah, I've been building PCs for almost 10 years and haven't run into mobo issues like this. I'd pay the extra $50 and get the Gigabyte Z series board if you're looking for an Intel Coffee Lake board. ... show more

  • An extra layer of protection for the shipping let me know it will arive in working order
Style: Motherboard
Setting up for gaming it was nice to see the ULTRA M-2 covers double as heat-sinks. The board could use more gen 3.1 USB's though. The massive BIOS set-up could use more explanation to get the most out of the board

  • So far, so good
Style: Motherboard
I replaced a ASRock motherboard that was overheating on a computer that was just over 2 yrs old. Everything went together fine. It's only been in use for about 2 weeks so I will see if it holds up.

  • Loose board.
Style: Motherboard
Haven't used it yet. While installing the motherboard, I found out that ASRock does NOT include screws to screw the motherboard into the chassis. Make sure you have screws otherwise you're gonna be in the same boat as me.

  • Great Motherboard
Style: Motherboard
The media could not be loaded. No issues with this motherboard. I'm a sucker for boards that light up, and this thing PULSATES. Enjoy the little things...Also, enjoy good motherboards like this one. I HAVE ONE COMPLAINT THOUGH: There are 2 CPU fan slots and 3 System fan slots....I'd really like 1 more system fan slot...but I'm a fanboy. ... show more
