I have been watching the news and all kinds of videos on how to spot “fake” solar eclipse glasses. I am in MO and we are right in the path of the total solar eclipse at 99 percent totality, so having a “real” pair of solar eclipse glasses are a must here. I did the light bulb test, and made sure I couldn’t see anything else in the room besides the actual light from the bulb and a few other little tests. All checked ✅ out. Very nice solar glasses. The filter for my phone works well too. ... show more

  • [Updated] WORKED FLAWLESSLY & Photos of the product.
[Update:] Highly recommended. The glasses and photo filter worked flawlessly! No discomfort on my eyes while wearing the glasses, nor afterward. While yes, the frame is just cardboard, but the glasses hooked onto my ears snugly and are acceptably comfortable. Additionally, I taped the photo filter to my phone upside-down so I wouldn't accidentally drop it. (Next Total Solar Eclipse with landfall is estimated to be in 2026, visible to parts of Greenland, Iceland, and Spain.) [Prior to Update:] Will update this review after the April 8th, 2024 Eclipse. I cannot comment on how EFFECTIVE the product is, until I use them during an eclipse. What I can do is post pictures of what I received with legible labels and warnings: 10 eclipse glasses and 1 smartphone photo filter in near-mint condition. I believe only two of the glasses have slight defects to either the filter or paper-frame. I did purchase these at a fairly steep discount, so if they do work, I believe these are a great low-cost option. Authenticity-wise, these have been labeled as ISO 12312-2 compliant, thus assumably safe for eclipse-viewing. (I must, in good faith, warn you: please DO NOT to use these glasses on the sun during a non-eclipse day as a test! These were not graded to protected against the bare sun. They were designed to ONLY be used during the roughly 3-hour solar eclipse window.) ... show more

  • Camera Filter Combo
If you didn't already know, a pair of eclipse glasses are not sufficient protection for a digital camera such as a mobile phone has. It needs protection from wavelengths of light that a human eye isn't affected by. This combo package includes a camera filter that is easily held in one hand along with your phone & will protect your device. Plus you're getting 10 pairs of glasses at a decent price. The photo is a test I did immediately after I got it without any adjustments to my camera. Just a plain photo at regular settings. P.S. Don't use your camera filter to look at the sun with your eyes for the same reason; Your eyes need protection from wavelengths of light that this camera filter doesn't block. ... show more

  • Solar glasses & lens filter
Made in USA New Jersey. The glasses are great for viewing the sun. But the solar filter for the camera lens is not that good. If the lens filter was tight like the glasses, it would produce better quality viewing. Unfortunately the material is rather thin, making ripples on lens so you can't take quality shots. ... show more

  • They work as advertised but...
They work fine, however there is a lot of light leakage, particularly the lower edge under the eyes but that's to be expected. easily fixed with a couple small strips of thick paper and some masking tape.

  • Adequate
Overall, like most solar-eclipse paper glasses, they're of low quality and generally uncomfortable to wear; however, you're only going to wear them during an eclipse and for that purpose, for those few minutes, they'll be fine.
