These cable extensions are an incredible bang for your buck. The material they use is a more plastic-y material than the usual fabric braided cables but I see this as a pro and not a con. They feel durable yet malleable and I know they would've lasted forever if I kept using them. I was having issues with my original PSU in my new build (Cooler Master 750w Gold) and my PC was randomly shutting down. To fix this, I replaced it the other day with a Corsair RM850x and the 24 pin mobo cable extension doesn't fit the new 24 pin cable that came with the RM850x. The RM series seems to use a "Gen 4/Type 4" mobo cable and the pins are organized slightly differently. This meant that when I tried to attach the extension cable, it would NOT fit and the original 24 pin that came with my Cooler Master PSU would not provide power on my new PSU (because of the pin layout), so I had to abandon the 24 pin Asiahorse extension unfortunately... In summary, these cable extensions are fantastic, affordable and durable but it seems that the 24 pin extension specifically won't work with any PSU that uses this "Type 4" mobo cable. If they offered a variant that fit a "Type 4" mobo 24 pin PSU cable, then I would never buy cable extensions from a different brand again. Almost perfect! ... show more
