As someone that hasn’t played guitar in almost 25 years, I didn’t want to break the bank. That being said, the strap is for small children! I am 5’10” and about 165lbs. I am not a big person, and this strap is a complete joke. At it’s largest setting, the guitar sat high on my chest. Don’t expect the guitar to come with a pick guard, as pictured either. It simply is not there. My other advice is to immediately get different strings if just beginning. The set that comes with the guitar sound okay, but will tear your fingers up immediately. I never had that much pain in my fingers 25 years ago. ... show more

...such a shiny guitar...lovely glossy black finish...beautiful rich tones...held tune for many days...was easily tuned with an electronic tuner...action is kinda high, so this newbie could only practice 20 minutes before the metal strings got the better of me. I wanted to keep this guitar because it's versatile being electric also....and a cutaway design with I loved. But it's a full-sized guitar and I am 5'1" with shorter fingers...so for petite player like myself, this was way too much guitar for me...it was heavy to hold and hard to balance while sitting. But the cutaway design is beautiful...the wood, resonant....only fret buzz came because I couldn't press the strings hard enough, but when I did, gorgeous tone. But I'm repeating myself. It's a great deal for a better-than-good beginning guitar...definitely not a toy. BUT I needed to have a slimmer neck, so I returned the guitar with regret. ... show more

Im always worried about buying something not on PRIME but im really happy with this guitar! I've been casually playing for 25yrs. I def could've gotten something more expensive, but I didn't really need that. I like to just strum chords occasionally and write a song here and there. This was a great buy since I gave my old Ibanez to my nephew. Price was great and it showed up days earlier than expected. It comes packaged in a triangle box with all the other items in there. Its also pre-strung, though not tuned, and it has a second set of strings with it. I dont think the strap is as small as some have said. I'm 6'2" and I tried it and it fit "okay". It is still a little small, so I bought another instead. This is a great buy! ... show more

Overall, it is a great starter full sized guitar. Seems to have solid construction. The only problem I had is that the srtap that came with it doesn’t even stretch from end to end at its fullest length. Completely useless! Other than that it’s a good guitar.

    • Terrible workmanship on neck / frets

Neck / frets are very wavy. Looking down the neck, there are multiple high and low spots in the frets, which is why action was set so high at the factory. Sorely disappointed, and have taken it to Woody's music store here in town to see what can be done . The wood does sound good , soundwise, and tuners are adequate, but this should never have passed inspection at factory....UPDATE,,: Had to return guitar because it was basically unfixable without a lot of money being spent on it....not impressed in the least. ... show more
