I bought this to replace an old stinky spring futon mattress i had. TBH was not expecting much for the price. I took it out of the box and gave it ample time to reform. I placed it on the futon from. was a bit of a challenge to fold. But that is not stuck out the most in my mind for this experience. It is when i sat down and nearly fell asleep in this cloud mattress of awesomeness, I was being sucked into this wonderful existence of comfort I felt almost trapped. My old futon recycled cloth material futon mattress was long over due for an upgrade. I took a shot on this full size mattress, being the least expensive at the time. It pleasantly arrived a day early. Based on the size of the box, I thought for sure that I received the wrong size. I was surprised at how well they compressed and folded the mattress into the smaller box. The box also included a brief instructions page and a credit card style letter opener for cutting off the plastic wrap. This was actually more helpful than I was expecting. The instructions say to allow 48 hours after opening for the foam to fully expand and to ignore any off-gassing smells. After opening mine up, it was full sized in about 30 minutes - even on an unseasonably cold day. I didn't notice any smells (unlike other memory foam I have purchased before). The cover is a nice material and doesn't need any other cover. It zips on/off easily and can be washed. The mattress itself is a good fit on my full-size frame. The 6 inch depth is probably about as small as I would ever want to go, but it is very comfortable. If I really press on an area, I can still feel a bar underneath, but for regular sitting or lying I do not feel the frame. The comfort holds up well even after prolonged sitting or a napping. It is a significant upgrade in comfort over the previous mattress. The foam is also much lighter and easier to move . Overall, I am extremely satisfied. For being the least expensive option, the mattress arrived quickly, was well packed, opened easily, and is more comfortable than I was expecting. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. When you just know. I was looking for the perfect van bed. I poured over reviews for air mattress, Japanese mattress, futons, etc. if you could lay on it I reviewed it. For days I could not stop searching. Just when I thought I found something I would look at the negative reviews and move on. Then I saw this one, not to thick to block our driving view and not to thin to fell the platform bed sticking in our ribs. I decided to take the plunge. I just took it out of the box not even 15 minutes ago. I know they said 48 hours but I just had to try it. One reviewer said it was a trap she is right if you are not ready to turn in, “ move away from it.” It is like heaven’s clouds. My one little, tiny nitpick is that I did not realize the bottom of the cover is white else I would have ordered an all black cover at the same time to protect the white from getting dirty in the van. The instructions said 48 hours for the mattress to completely expand but it really took no longer than 2 hours. I read most of the reviews before purchasing this mattress and it was pretty accurate. It was very comfortable to sit and sleep on that the kids basically use it all the time. We've also kept the futon frame open flat for them to kick back. Its about 6 inches thick but you don't feel the futon frame through the mattress like some other 6 inch mattresses I've reviewed on Amazon. Best futon mattress purchase I made. Its light and easy for one person to fold and unfold the futon frame with little resistance. ... show more

Updated 1/4/22: WOW! I called the company, told them what happened, sent a pic. THAT SAME DAY they shipped out the correct item - AMAZING customer service!! And THIS mattress is HEAVENLY! 19-year-old sone said he might use THIS as his bed at school, it's that comfortable!! Old review: I bought this thinking it would look like a mattress for my son's futon, as advertised. This is about 3 feet wide, with three articulating cushions - no possible way to use this on a couch-style, full-size futon! And I have no idea how to get this back into the box for shipping - it was professionally vacuum-sealed. I'm sure the cushions are super comfortable, but I would have preferred it in the shape I ordered! My kid loves this bed. She doesn't like anyone else to lay on it cause she wants to keep all the comfy bed to herself lol she's 10 and this fits perfectly on the futon bottom part of the bunk bed she shares with her sister. Gray cover unzips and comes off for washing. Would definitely buy again! Alot of futon beds get bad reviews, but everyone was right about this one. It's perfect! Update: it's a year later and the mattress is still great. Just got it yesterday, so it’s hard to give a full review at this point, but I felt I had to because it is SO nicely made and comfy!! It came packaged nicely (and well-protected with thick plastic shrink-wrapped around it), and expanded to its full size and thickness fairly quickly. It feels very firm and supportive when you sit on it, and maintains that feel but has enough “give” to the memory foam to make it comfortable. The cover is really pretty and also appears well-made, and I LOVE that it’s removable and washable! WAY WAY WAY better than any other crappy futon mattress you can buy!!
