I like the look of the lights and they are very bright at 5000K. The dimmer option is great. I would agree with others that they are frustrating to install. If you don't have two people, I would recommend making a hanger with picture wire so you can hang while wiring. I didn't have much of an issue aligning the bolts. We had a fluorescent oval cieling light that looked exactly like this, and I broke it changing the bulb-- dropped the plastic housing. This lamp is a nearly identical replacement, both size and style. However, it is a bit more cheaply made-- the frame is thinner metal, and the installation was a bit more challenging. In the end, I got it installed, and it looks great. It is a bit brighter than our old fixture as well. As the LEDs are NOT replaceable or in any way user-serviceable, I do hope that the driver and LEDs are designed well and matched, for maximum longevity. Time will tell. ... show more

Regarding the ASD 32" oval 45W ceiling light part # ‎ASD-LFMOV-MV-32D45CC-BZ. The product page boasts a 4200 lumen rating, but the packaging tells a different story. The box says the lumen range is between 3360 and 3750, I assume depending on the light color chosen. That is a quite a difference. The packaging was sufficient for the product. The fixture itself is what you'd expect, light but not flimsy. Install was a bit of a challenge trying to see the bolts thru into the threads of the mounting bracket and tuck all the wires into place, but that's par for the course. Even though the lumen rating is way off on the Amazon product page, the fixture does put out a sufficient amount of light. Given that the advertising is misleading, this product is overpriced. ... show more

Very bright for when needed, otherwise dimmable. Color selection is good to have but be aware not that East to access switch. Light enough for one person install. Frustrating but doable. Original wiring box for mounting was not level but with shimming was able to get a good fit against ceiling all around, not needing to use the four additional mounting screws. Only issue I have is country of origin but nothing new about that. ... show more

One thing I didn't like is that the white lens is glossy. I have other lights of the same style in the house, and they all came with a "frosted" white lens. There is no difference when the light is on, but the glossy lens shows reflections during the day that can be distracting and it makes the light look cheap. Another is that the light is not heavy, but quite large, and it needs to be attached to the typical ceiling with four molly bolts or wall anchors. It would be really helpful if there was a paper mounting template that could be taped to the ceiling to locate the fasteners into the ceiling before attempting to mount the light. Believe me, that would make installation much easier, for the price of a sheet of paper. I definitely liked that the instructions listed comparable dimmer switches. ... show more

I have installed over 50 ceiling lights and this light ranks among the most difficult to install. It's large and awkward and the hardware requires you to find small screw holes in the blind. You have to feel around for the holes while you hold the large light in place, and it takes forever. The manufacturer needs to figure out a better attaching mechanism. It would help to have another person hold the light, but I'm a one-man operation. I got the job done and the light works well...lots of light without any performance issues. If you are not a professional look for something simpler or find yourself a partner and be very patient. One other concern. The metal trim and plastic light cover are thin and susceptible to damage if mishandled. Add gentleness to your list of installation virtues. ... show more
