Nice chair, lousy "instructions!" I am a 68yo woman with only 2 small dogs and a cat. None of them offered to help. Me, myself and I were able to piece it together after about 5 hours. No missing pieces, no damage to the chair but the box was abused in transit. There was no forewarning as to the tools needed.... (socket wrench set and Allen wrenches are essential) and I had to use WD40 and pliers to disengage one of the prethreaded screws. The instructions are a BIG disappointment. Vague drawings covering the 17 steps. The parts list was helpful to review before beginning your challenge. Apparently, this poor excuse for instructions has been a common complaint over quite some time. Which begs the question... why haven't they been revised??? I did not remove the seat, as indicated, I did not see the need. Placing the chair on the base was tricky and a bit heavy for me. Securing the base to the lift, also took a bit of finagling. Two of a few steps, where an extra set of hands would have been appreciated. Overall, I am pleased with the outcome. Assembly requires big slice of brute force and awkwardness. A little less time consuming than a 3,000 piece puzzle but a puzzle none the less. May the Force be with you.. ... show more

The chair is great for starting out. However, the arm rests sir really low. So when someone’s sitting in my chair, their arms don’t reach the arm rests. It is comfy, but doesn’t spin well. Easy to assemble. Took about 45 mins.

Awesome sturdy chair. I needed help woth the assembly, putting in the reclining lever... I almost thought a piece to lock it in was welded to the bar. The hydrolic is very sensative, if you step too far the chair drops fast. The chair is quite heavy so it takes effort to turn it, but I'm not afraid of ANYONE sitting in it of any weight because it's so sturdy. A lot of my ladies can't reach the foot rest, so that's different, but not anything to not make the purchase for. ... show more

I purchased this as a gift for my son who recently graduated from US Marine OCS to be placed in his office. The quality of the chair is really nice and made very well. We have renamed the chair "The Command Center" vs barber's chair. Great graduation present!

My husband put the chair together however it was easy. The only issue is Missing items circled on instruction Manuel. We receive chair with parts on top of box and opened accessory kit.. Seller asked to send picture of item missing on manuel however seller did not leave a portal to send pictures of item. The chair is not stable without the missing item. ... show more

Came with the hydraulic fluid leaking. Makes a weird knocking noise when someone sits and is unstable, leaving it risky and unstable. For the price I’m not happy. If I could get a replacement base and hydraulic system I’d reconsider my rating. Contacted seller and no response!

    • Buy better bolts

This barber chair is very nice if u can get it put together. We spent countless hours trying to get bolts in(recommend buying sturdier bolts) under the chair seats. Also,the boxes come pretty damaged the box weighs 140# & I think the delivery guys have a very hard time with it.
