  • The 7-watt does a great job with cutting The 7-watt does a great job with cutting
Two months ago, I bought a 3-watt engraving machine, and the engraving looks amazing—super precise, exactly like the picture. Since I wanted to try deeper engraving and cut more materials—I mean, the 3-watt can cut too, but the power is lower compared to the 7-watt, so the engraving and cutting depth are pretty shallow—I ended up getting a 7-watt one. The first thing I did was cut a piece of wood, and it came out perfectly. Yep, more power really makes a difference. I'm gonna keep testing it out on more materials. ... show more

  • perfect gateway laser for small projects.
If you’re just testing the waters with laser engraving, this little T1 is a great place to start. It’s obviously not a high-powered industrial machine, but for 3W, it handles leather, wood, and dark acrylic surprisingly well. The foldable design is actually a huge plus—I can tuck it away when I’m not using it, which is great for a smaller desk. It’s definitely more of a hobbyist tool, but the precision is solid for the price. The only downside is that is does not work well with regular metal, you will need to get anodised metal to make them work nice, same with glass. YMMV. ... show more

  • The leather engraving turned out unbelievably perfect! The leather engraving turned out unbelievably perfect!
The engraver itself feels really well-made, and what I love most is that there’s no setup needed, just take it out of the box, unfold it, plug in the laser head and connect the power USB cable. It only took me a few minutes, which is so much more convenient compared to other machines that need at least half an hour to install. After setting the parameters, I engraved a piece of leather, and you can really see how crisp and clear the image came out. Next, I’m going to try engraving more materials! ... show more

  • No Mac software included – Windows users only unless you pay for LightBurn
This is my first laser engraver so I am coming at this with no prior experience to compare against. I went in expecting a learning curve and got one, though some of the friction came from places I did not anticipate. The machine itself works, but my experience has been shaped heavily by being a Mac user, and that is where things get complicated. The included software does not have a Mac version. Full stop. If you are on Mac you are pushed toward third party software, and the recommended option is paid. I am currently running a free trial and that is the only reason I can use this at all. For a sub-$100 machine that is a meaningful hidden cost and frustration that should be disclosed more clearly before purchase. Once you are in the software and get your settings dialed in the engraving results are actually pretty decent for the price range, but getting to that point takes real time and patience, especially with no prior experience. The other issue I ran into as a first time user is placement and positioning. There is no way to preview exactly where the laser will engrave on your material without tracing the boundary first. Some engravers include a positioning laser or framing feature that shows you the outline before the job starts. This one does not, at least not in a way that was intuitive for me. For a beginner trying to center a design on a wood blank or a specific spot on a piece, that adds a lot of trial and error. On the physical side the machine is genuinely compact and folds up neatly for storage, which is a real advantage if space is a concern. Build quality is acceptable for the price range, not impressive but not alarming either. Things I liked: • Results are solid once settings are dialed in • Foldable design is compact and easy to store • Approachable price range for a first engraver • Works with LightBurn and other third party software options Why I Removed Stars: • Included software has no Mac version, forced into paid third party software immediately • No positioning laser or framing preview makes placement guesswork for beginners • Learning curve is steep with no experience and no intuitive onboarding • Hidden software cost is a real consideration for Mac users that is not front and center in the listing If you are on Windows and have some patience for a learning curve, this is probably a reasonable entry point. As a Mac user I cannot recommend it without a clear warning that you will be paying extra just to use it at all. 3/5 - Works once dialed in, but Mac users will need paid software just to get started ... show more

  • It's a great tool to have in my craft room. It's a great tool to have in my craft room.
This is my first laser engraver, and it's taking me a little time to learning and master it. Definitely something I want to learn. It was very simple to setup, and I did down load the software. The foldable design is perfect for storage space, and to take along. The quality is nice, it's made well, I'm just needed to play with it more. • Decent beginner kit
Decent for beginners. Comes with everything you need to get started. Quality is about average. I’d say it is priced fairly when on sale. The normal price seems a bit high for what you get.
