I used to have those plastic straw mats for outside my 5th wheel where we walk to get in and I absolutely hated how much it hurt when you step on a rock that's underneath the plastic straw mat! I did some research and decided I wanted to go with artificial turf. I have artificial turf on my side yard at home and I knew if I did my research right and got a taller grass, then it would minimize the rock problem. We went camping this past weekend and I took it out on it's maiden voyage and it worked perfectly! We had a bunch of rocks underneath and I could hardly tell where they were. If anything, it felt like some nice rounded mounds. So, mission accomplished!

The artificial turf was nice and probably would have been ok if the yard had been measured correctly but I had to make 5-6 different orders from the same company, however they came from different lots and when the orders arrived, some where of different textures and colors. It was going in my backyard where very few people would ever see it so I didn’t mind too much but if it was going in my front yard, I’d of been very upset. Also, the first order I made came in wrapped up rolls, which was very nice and very easy to unwrap but after that, they started coming in huge boxes folded up. It was a huge hassle and the boxes were a pain to break down and figure out what to do with them.

This came out exactly how I wanted it to. Easy to work with make sure you have extra razor blades they dull fast. But my yard had nothing but dirt and weeds. Grass would not grow. I am very happy with the results. My fur baby loves it too.

While the spec says it has 1.3+ inches of thickness, it is so matted it is thin and hard. I have left it in the sun in hopes that the heat will make the grass stand up and I took a vacuum to it, and it helped a lot. It is still thinner (less plush) than the marketing remarks would have you believe. The one thing that is excellent is the color. Color is very blended with multiple shades of fiber, producing a very natural looking synthetic grass. The size is as stated. My goal for this was to use this as a target area for chipping onto to work on my short game. As it turns out, it is a great surface to chip off of. The quality is decent, but it is not what I was anticipating. Because it is actually good for chipping off of, I have upgraded the review from 3 to 4 stars. It is a bit spendy for what you get, but if color is important to you, this is where it shines and may well be worth the extra $.

This artificial turf looks great and is holding up really well. I did put infill on the turf during installation and it has held up great during our strong winds and summer monsoons. One note, the turf is directional so take note of that if binding pieces together. Dogs love their yard area.
