  • Good value on sale for home and hobby
I finally upgraded from an old basic USB endoscope to this unit. The ability to remotely control the camera head on a borescope is a game changer. So far I have only used this for home improvement projects, but poking a small hole in drywall to inspect has saved me huge amounts of time I would otherwise be wasting patching large sections. I've been able to verify thermostat wire was stapled the entire stud bay, the condition of soffit vents from inside the wall, orientation and location of strapping (stud finder doesn't differentiate between joists and furring strips) and also plumbing connections. I was able to snag this on sale and value wise it was definitely worth it. At full price there might be other competitors to consider. I do like the separate screen vs my old smart phone app model, but I don't really have a use for the photo taking feature so can't comment on it. So far it seems fairly well built, but I don't really have other models to compare to. The only quirk is I've noticed the threaded cap you can remove to replace with the hook or magnet can start working it's way free when fishing through a tight space. If I had one criticism it would be that the light could be a bit brighter, but picture quality seems fine for what I need. ... show more

  • Pretty decent, just wish you could move left and right instead of only up/down
The screen on this is pretty good. Picture quality is good as well. Not blurry or hazy. I've used some in the past that were straight up garbage. Battery seems to last a decent time as well. My only (well two actually) gripes are that I wish the end camera could be controlled 360 degrees rather than up/down. I with it could do left and right as well. The main cable shaft is a little stiff, so you aren't snaking this in crazy tight corners or areas., but, it's still nice to be able to see what's happening in a tight spot. ... show more

  • This can steer only left and right
First off, I like the build quality and how the steering can be locked into place. The steering has very little resistance when adjusting it, unless you tighten the lock (the little red knob on the steering knob). It really is 360 degrees along one plane, which is the equivalent of fully turning left or right. I like how the picture's orientation seems to match the steering, so when I'm looking at the screen I know which way to turn the dial when I want to see to the left of the image. That's super-useful and not all articulating borescopes can do that. The image quality is nice and the display is pretty large too. It even comes with three attachments: a magnet, a 90 degree mirror, and a hook. They don't fit easily back into the little thing it came in - you have to put the mirror inside the magnet attachment then rest the hook in the mirror attachment to get the mess short enough to fit in with the lid closed - but they seem like well-machined pieces of aluminum. However, I have one gripe about this product. The listing says it has 360° Two-Way Rotation, which I took to mean I could rotate the camera up and down in addition to left and right. That is not the case. This camera can be steered along only one plane. If you want to steer it a different direction, you have to rotate the entire mechanism to match the direction you want to steer, display and all. If I had spent a little longer looking at the image illustrating the various components, I would have noticed that the secondary knob (the red one) is a lock, not another direction of steering like I had thought it was. Overall, I do like this boroscope, and I think it will become my favorite one because of the size and quality of the screen and the alignment of the camera to the steering. ... show more

  • Nice High Definition Borescope with Protective Case
The media could not be loaded. Great high definition borescope - the screen is very bright and clear. The camera sends a detailed picture that allows for magnification of details. Solidly built with a very good scope cable. Camera has various reflective ends to achieve different views. The video quality is at least as good as claimed in the listing, and the quality might be even better than represented. Easy controls for the camera in traditional style with large wheel to control the bend direction and lock to hold position. Easy to sweep for 360-degree view. Scope is large with large screen that is very bright, visible in bright sunlight too. Should have good battery life, and is easily rechargeable with USB type C plug that can accept any USB 5v input from USB type A plug that can go pretty much anywhere - great for recharging in the truck on the way to somewhere to use the scope. This is a great value on a nice borescope that delivers every feature I could ever want. I recommend it! ... show more

  • Nice Upgrade
I grabbed this to upgrade from a scope I had that connected to my phone. No real issues with that one, other than having to fiddle with attaching the phone and connecting the wires, etc. It just entailed a few extra steps that this scope eliminates by having an integrated screen. I don't tend to use it a ton day-to-day, but it's always performed well when I've needed it, which is what I'm looking for. ... show more

  • An excellent, easy to use inspection tool
Rechargeable! This was the game changer for me. It helps that the scope pipe is long enough to be useful but not so long that it takes two guys to work it. The screen image is clear and large enough to make observations efficient. The guided camera lens worked flawlessly and has a hug range of motion. All the controls were easily situated so I could hold the pipe in the left hand and work all the controls in my right; steer, take snapshots, raise/lower the light intensity and use the screen magnification. And the carry case is great. Padded, dual zipper closure and a nice handle. Handles aren't just for carrying; when looking at ladders or scaffold access, the handle allows you to snap-link the case to a backpack or tool belt and you're not trying to cram the tool into an already loaded gear bag. The ubiquitous camera tip tools come with it, and for as easy as the camera is to guide, I might actually use it for retrieval or object manipulation. Great job guys! Great job! ... show more
