Nicely packaged, quick assembly and very comfy chair! My expectations were not really high but as other reviewers have noted, the velvet is soft and not cheesy looking at all. In fact, it's actually kind of luxurious and sleek and modern looking which goes very well with our decor. It is very comfortable and sits a bit low(ish) to the floor but in a good way. I am 5'8" and my wife is 5'7" and my legs are a bit short (29" inseam) but this is the perfect size chair. Our knees do not rise above our waist so it isn't low, low. The cushioning is very nice and firm enough but not too firm and cheap-squishy. I wouldn't be surprised to find one of these in an upscale modern furniture store for $500-$700. The legs are shiny brass and the furniture in this room (bedroom) has more of an antique brass finish but the shiny brass doesn't jump out at you or look out of place. Assembly was perfect, everything lined up and tightened down nice and tight with no wobble. All in all, this is a well-made piece of furniture...even if it is from China. I've included a couple of photos so you can see the gray colored chair. It is a nice medium gray with a slight silvery sheen.

Bought two of these chairs in green as accent chairs for living room. Color is gorgeous, rich but not too vivid. The seat is firm, the construction heavy and sturdy. They look slightly more fabulous than they are comfortable. Not to say that they are not comfortable - they definitely are - but the seat has a good firmness and it's not the kind of 'loungy' chair that you sink into. To the other reviewers that mentioned how the cushion slides when you lean back - it is somewhat true. However, I found that a square of inexpensive rubber drawer-liner underneath the cushion was the perfect remedy. No more sliding and cost just a few cents. I had to return the same chair in pink, as the color was a bit too light. The customer service was fantastic. highly highly recommend.

I purchased two chairs for my master bedroom. I have 10.5" ceilings and was concerned these may be too short, but even though they are shorter they are still quite substantial in size. The quality is excellent, they shipped quickly and in great condition. Putting them together was a breeze....just attach the legs with the tool included. The color is as shown, kind of an avocado green, and the velvet is a rich quality. They are surprisingly comfortable.

Edited: After 1 month I decided it really wasn't right for my tiny studio apartment. Although the couch is small and cute (exactly what I was looking for in that regard), it's firm cushions and smooth fabric aren't as luxuriously comfortable as I want for my only seating. It would be great for an office or a kid's bedroom, but not the best for primary lounge seating. The customer service was EXCELLENT and allowed me to return the couch no problem, which counts for a lot in my book.

The fabric is soft and sturdy enough to handle my cats' occassional claws (they're jerks sometimes), the cushions are actual cushions and not just thin foam padding, the color is a perfect lilac just as in the picture. Assembly was quick and easy, and it's a pretty lightweight peice of furniture so it wasn't hard to move around my living room. It can seat myself and my husband comfortably; it gets a little snug when we add my 8 year old for movie night but still comfortable.
