  • Solid, sturdy, adjustable, portable.
Make sure you confirm your machine fits the length and width of the platform!!!! There are two Gidgits, I and II. The Gidget 1 had a much smaller platform, the Gidget 2 is the larger platform. I purchased the Gidget 2. Pros: Good, solid, sturdy table. Fits my machine nicely. Easy to set up. The machine platform does have an adjustable height in the drop down position or up in the raised lock position for a full flat table surface. Folds up to store or take with you. Fit our vehicle without a problem. Good to use for everyday small spaces, take with you to classes or as a second sewing table. Table felt sold, no shaking or vibrating noted when sewing, machine didn't move either. Con: you really need to have an insert templated for you machine, not included. Good news is that there is a lip edge for one and I believe you can get one from the company, though I think it is over $100 (you would have to check to confirm that). We are lucky to have a local acrylic shop that we can get one made. There are two wheels, that are sturdy, on one end to pull behind you like luggage. However you can't lift the end off the ground very far without concern of hitting a bump or curb or anything and scratch the whole end. If I were engineering this, I would have moved the wheels closer to the end or used larger wheels. We will use a very small dolly or like the old fold up luggage cart to transport to avoid damage to the top. It is also on the heavy side, you are most likely not going to pick it up and carry it very far. Would purchase again, personally well worth the money. ... show more

  • Arrow Sewing Tables are awesome!
The Arrow Gidget II Sewing Table (611) is awesome, especially this version (2025). I bought my first Arrow sewing table in 2005 (Gidget I) and all of them are high quality and durability. *Note - It you plan to have the machine arm flush with the top of the table you will need to purchase an insert to fit your machine separately). The table comes well-packaged in a very sturdy box. The table slides out of the box and is almost already assembled, all you need to do is put the legs upright, which requires a little oomph to lock the little arms into the holder. Next up is nesting the machine in the platform to be flush with the table top/insert and raising or lowering the platform using the winged bolt on both sides of the platform. What I especially appreciate about the most recent version is that I can add wheels/casters to the base of the table so that I can move it around in my small condo! I love it. The size of the casing is M6 and the length that works is 15mm. This also raises the table height which helps with the ergonomics for me. I don't need a big table/cabinet for me sewing machine and it's off my dining room table; save so much space. It's got a clean, fresh look with the white colorway. There's plenty of space to the left and right of the machine platform to place my thread stand and a basket of notions. I don't ever have to put the table away but when I do, it's a very task. The wheels that are on the table, which help to move it, are okay but it requires it to be at very low angle to avoid hitting the floor. The table has become so much more valuable with the option to add the wheels, earlier models did not come with the casings installed in the base to accept casters. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Best Ever!
I love this table! I purchased it to align with tables to create a large space for making rugs. It was so easy to setup! I opened the box, unfolded the legs and was ready to go. It is very sturdy and solid. My machines fit perfectly for the opening! The beauty is I could fold it up and take it anywhere, it is just that easy! ... show more

  • Arrow Sewing Table Gidget II
This table is exactly what I needed for my Janome MC6650 which is an oversized machine. I purchased a custom fit plate from Arrow that surrounds my machine. All the items…..the table, plate, and sewing machine bed give me a level and large surface for sewing and FMQ. I have the smaller gidget table that I use for a Brother machine and it is equally user friendly and perfect. Well worth the small investment price. And it provides an ergonomic height while I’m sitting and using it. No strain on shoulders, arms, or my wrists. Set up was a breeze and adjusting the machine height was, too. And it’s easily portable since it is on wheels. ... show more

  • Quality table, but expect some headache adjusting drop height
This arrived before due date, well packaged, no damage. It's a very well made table of quality materials. My only complaint is that if you need to adjust the drop height, it's truly a hassle. I consider myself pretty handy, but it had me cursing. They don't provide any tools, so hopefully you'll have them. You either need to remove a hex bolt (I didn't have the right size wrench for that), or you need to cut the chain links out with pliers that cut metal. I did this method and it was very hard and took a while, but I finally got through them. Then you have to open an eye hook enough to slide the chain through it. This was also very hard but I finally figured out that by positioning a flat head screw driver in the opening and then hammering the handle of the screwdriver would wedge it open. Then I realized I hadn't removed enough links and had to start again. Meanwhile you're on the floor, under the table, straining to see, getting up to drop the machine in to test it, then taking it out and going back under the table again and again. It was all very frustrating. They really should design an easier method for adjusting the drop since I imagine most people will need to. If your machine is 4 1/2 inches from the top of the free arm to the bottom, then you won't need to adjust. Otherwise, you will if you want your needle to line up with the table surface for ideal quilting, which is the whole point of this table. One other thing: I wish they would make the height of the table itself adjustable. The problem is that if you want to wedge other tables up around it to create a larger quilting surface, most standard tables are exactly the same height as this one (perfect, right?). Until you drop the heavy sewing machine in. If you're on carpet, now the weight of the machine makes this table sink into the carpet and now you're one half inch lower than the surrounding tables, which will create drag and resistance. So I had to shim this table up (another hassle and makes the table less stable). Other than those two things, this is a great table and I'm happy with it. ... show more

  • Solid, easy to set up, no fuss table
I recently got back into sewing and had been using my kitchen table as my sewing table. Although roomy, it's a counter height table so I had trouble reaching the peddle to my machine; I had to sit on the very edge of the seat and that wasn't very comfortable. In addition to the seat height issues, it was becomming more and more of a pain in the behind to move the machine, my quilt, all my supplies and such every night for dinner. I needed a solution and started looking for tables/cabinets. I was really overwhelmed by the selection of sewing tables and cabinets out there. Sure, some of them were very nice but I couldn't imagine spending more on a stand for my machine than I paid for the machine itself. I wanted something very low frills that allowed me to drop my machine bed even with the surface. I happened across this one on a free motion quilting blog and watched several videos on how the Gidget II sets up easily. I was a little skeptical that it'd be sturdy enough but, since I could find no other options that I liked, I decided to go for it. I was very plesantly surprised. The Gidget 2 is a very solid table and, even at high speeds, doesn't move much at all. Setting it up was a breeze and it's light weight enough that I can move it easily if I need to. So far, I've only machine pieced one quilt and made several grocery bags but I have to say, it's got all the room I need for what I have been doing. I like how there's a measuring tape decal on the top front of the table - I find myself using it more and more. Construction Yes, some people may complain that it is made out of fiberboard. I don't really see that as an issue. It's laminated with a very sturdy, almost countertop type laminant and has a nice thick plastic edge for a bumper. In my opinion, it's a very nice look - very clean and minimal - that doesn't take away from my machine's own asthetics. As I mentioned earlier, it's solid. It doesn't jiggle or move much at all when I'm sewing at higher speeds and that's important. So far, it's been easy to clean, too. I don't currently have a plastic insert yet so little bits of fuzz, lint, snipped threads and so on fall down on the drop down table part and collect there. I just take a damp cloth and wipe them off into the trash can I keep at my sewing station. No problem at all. One added feature that I like (but haven't used yet) is the ability to collapse it and take it with me if I need to. It has some really nice wheels (almost like the ones on luggage but slightly bigger) so dragging it around is very easy. I plan on heading to craft fairs/events in the future and would like to take my machine with me and this table can go along. It's about four inches tall once it's collapsed, so it'll fit nicely into my trunk! Final thoughts I think this is a bargain for the price and would definitely recommend this table to anyone looking for a good solid, no frills table for their machine! ... show more

  • Nice and stong
I had expected that this table might rock from side to side based on the design, but it doesn't. It is very convenient and makes the sewing machine bed and table top align so that fabric doesn't have to be dragged up to get the the needle area. The clear filler that fits around the sewing machine when it's dropped into the recessed area fits very well and it an essential for those wanting a good work area for their projects. ... show more

  • Sturdy table!
Love. Did I say Love? I love this table! For the reviewer who complained about it shaking is that all I have to say is that before I used this table, I had my sewing machine on my kitchen table, which is a custom made, very heavy, highly stable table that I cannot pick up. My sewing machine starts to shake when it is on its highest speed when I sewed on that heavy table. It does the same on the Gidget. So, it is the sewing machine not the table!!!!! That reviewer almost had me not purchase this table—she has a video of a tiny inexpensive sewing machine. I am so glad I did a lot of research! The table is GREAT! Her sewing machine needs to be replaced if the shaking bothers her. It is not the table. I still have to purchase a piece of acrylic from the company that another reviewer recommended. I just haven’t gotten around to it. It isn’t a big big because my sewing machine is on the larger size so the gaps around the machine aren’t very inconvenient. ... show more
