This vise is quite small. I don't mind that, though—it's what I expected. The whole thing is cast iron, except the levers, which are stainless steel. There are 2 reasons I'm giving this less than 5 stars. First, the pieces of the vise don't fit together super well—there's a fair amount of slipping between pieces due to loose tolerances in manufacturing. This sloppiness is worst when the vise is open and diminishes when you crank it tight. My other (mid-tier priced) vise doesn't have sloppy connections when open. Second, the vise came with only 3 mounting bolts, not 4 to match the number of mounting holes.

I wanted a vise for my wood shop bench, but I didn't want to break the bank either. I decided to go with a 4"-5" vise as I already own a heavy duty vise on my garage bench. This 4.5" AROEDVISE perfectly fit the bill in size and price. Coming in under $40, it certainly is reasonably priced. The only question I had, Is the vise actually as nice as the pictures seen here on the product page. Well after receiving my vise, I'm here to tell you the vise satisfies my wants and needs. The vise is machined perfectly (fit and finish). The screw rotates smoothly with no slop. The jaws are tight with a nice matching machined pattern to grip whatever your working on. I checked the price on similar sized vises at the local B&M stores and this one beat them all. I'm very happy with my AROEDVISE. If you're shopping for a light to medium duty vise, I definitely would recommend one. 😊👍

This is a nice little workbench vice. Well machined, everything lines up well, installation hardware included. Good coating on the frame, nice anvil area for a vise this size. Can't go wrong at 37 dollars.

For a light duty vise I find this to be a soild option. I really like that the vise comes with the hardware needed to mount this to a bench, it makes this a solid gift for someone starting their first workbench . The casting looks clean , the screw was well oiled and spins easily also the type of screw used provides a good bit of clamping force . I also think its worth a mention that the jaws that come with the vise are very grippy. Overall this seems to be a good value starter or backup vise .
