  • Slightly experienced assembly
The assembly instructions states no power tools required, however there were no holes anywhere in the headboard to secure it. I need a power tools to drill holes. Normally, when assembling products, all the required holes are there. If you don't know how or not comfortable drilling holes, this bed might not be for you. Also, the bed slates were not correct. The measurement was slightly off even after I double checked and made sure everything else was flush. I needed to drill more holes for the bed slates. The bed is made of pine, which is easy to work with but also not a very strong wood. I added some extra support hidden underneath the bed because it's not too durable. I am happy with the bed but I did pull on work experience to get the most out of the assembly. I can imagine not everyone would be able to do that. Update: After 3 months of use, the bed was completely destroyed. I broke down the bed and used the wood in other projects. My son is 15 years old, 153 pounds, and 6ft tall and used to the bed appropriately. Definitely passed the age of jumping on the bed. ... show more

  • So happy!
I am a 5'7 and 180 pounds adult and I fit perfectly. Easy to assemble, have enough room to change positions while i sleep and seat to read some books. Theres enough space to strecht out my legs. I painted it a aqua color and looks beautiful on my room. If your and adult looking for a single person bed, I much recommend. ... show more

  • A good product but tools and handy ability required
It's overall a pretty good product for the price, and one of few options you'll find online for a wood twin xl bed frame. You can tell that the precision cutting of the wood is not the greatest. You will find variance in the lengths of the bed slats and they definitely don't look like they could bear much weight. To be fair, they did advertise this as a kid's bed and I would stick to that if you don't plan to reinforce the frame. Per advice from an earlier reviewer, I reinforced the frame with a solid sheet of plywood. With that accomplished, I can sleep on it worry free as a 240 pound male. The way the pieces fit together at the foot and headboard leaves too much wiggle room, because (once again), the milling of the holes is inconsistent. Some will fit snug, while others are loosy goosy. As far as tools go, you will certainly need a power drill and needle nose pliers. The pliers will come in handy because you have to hold a nut to the end of a bolt in a narrow space to thread it. ... show more

  • Well Made Product
Natural Unfinished product. Can be slightly sticky due to the natures of pinewood but it can be wiped down. I do not notice any smell besides pine (Please Note: Pine has a strong smell, I love it but others may not). The smell does go away after two weeks. Sturdiness can be slightly better but if you use thread locker or add some screws it should not pose a problem. Customer service was great and can provide replacement parts at the drop of a hat. My headboard had some damage and it's replacement came in the mail very quickly. Good Purchase Great Customer Care. ... show more

  • PERFECT!! Anyone says it isn’t doesn’t know 💩
The craftsmanship is professional. SMOOTH FINISH ready to stain. I would advise to use wood glue on headboard and footboard the “finishing” screws aren’t huge because it would look Jed Clampett. They just snug the fit. Next step is to stain. For the DAs: smart people know when it’s this cheap get your own tools. Doesn’t require power tools unless your a weenie. Just Phillips and rubber mallet. Dont hurt the wood. Use cloth. I will update!! THANKS TO THE WOODWORKERS!! GOOD JOB. I’m buying three more. ... show more

  • Awful
Bed is very flimsy wish I would've bought something else thought wood would've been better than metal, when my son gets on it , it wobbles and he is about 140 pounds, terrible

  • Cheap quality
The craftsmanship is sloppy. The routed design has not been sanded smooth, so there are splinters. But my fault is I bought a size too small. I thought the bed I bought it for was a twin oz but it is a full.
