This is my out of the box review and I will try to update after a couple months. For context I am an aircraft mechanic so I spend my days outside on my feet walking on concrete and need a tough steel toe boot. There weren’t a whole lot of detailed reviews on this boot so I took a chance and right out of the box they look great. The padding on the inside is quite thick so hopefully in the winter they keep my feet warm and not too hot in the summer. The leather is quite thick so the boot is stiff at first but after some shoe grease and time I think it’ll soften up. I have put them on and walked around the house and yard to get a feel for how hard they are on the bottom and the boots do give a very firm step feeling while not pushing back very hard into the knees and lower back so I believe the sole will hold up while the boot maintains a desirable amount of comfort. My opinion on the “waterproofing” and insoles will not be very helpful as I use custom fit insoles and I apply multiple thick layers of hubbards shoe grease to all of my boots. Overall at first glance and use the boots are nice and well made for the price point but I will update in a couple months after use. Again I am an aircraft mechanic so my experience will be different from construction workers and other tradesmen but I hope this helps ... show more

Just got mine in the mail today. Definitely like the broken in feeling right out of the box. I’m in the trades and finding a boot that’s comfortable, safe and durable is hard. Impressed so far!

This is my second time purchasing these boots the first time i bought straight from ariat. After wearing the boots for nearly a year, i walk through a set of insoles and almost the tread. The back of the boot where the leather meets the synthetic material gave out and tore on my first pair. I decided to order the same pair because of the comfortable feel of the boots and they were reliable. Its worth noting 98% of my job is walking. I work 8 hour shifts and some times walk miles in a night at work. I highly recommend these boots. ... show more

My son loves these boots for airsoft and other things like working and hiking. He likes the fit and feel and says they are true to size. He recommends putting in your own inserts for better support. He also likes the stability in the ankle. Clean up easily. Good toe protection and good under foot protection but not nail prevention if you step on something. And not lightning/electrical rated. Had 1 month and bottom of sole already shredding, they are waterproof when it comes to moderate spray, but they are freezing cold in 20-30 degree temperatures even with a good wool socks. Sole are not good for jumping up and down on a flat bed trailer. Need something with a little more shock absorption. Shoe size is accurate ... show more
