This is my second pair of ariat work boots. I bought these because I needed a good pair of black boots for patrol work, and I was tired of trying the other combat style boots that didn’t hold up or were not comfortable for 12 hour shifts.. I have a pair of brown groundpounders that are around 6 to 7 years old and still going strong after a long hard abusused life, which is why I gave these a shot. My foot measures at an 11.5 wide, and that’s the size I bought these in agian. The size was perfect, a little snug at first which is typical with slide on boots. It took less then a week to break the boots in at wearing them for 6 to 12 hours a day. Once the broke in, they are just as comfortable as my older pair. My arch is on the lower to non existent side, which when these boots broke in, has not cause me any problems and are comfortable in the arch area. Only time will tell if these boots will hold up as long as my other pair.

I have had a pair of these for 6 years… and it was time for new ones. These are the best work boots I have owned. I have a few pairs of the work hogs, and these beak in easy and I wear them all day at work. Great pair of boots… fit true to size

I’ve bought these since my old work boots got worn out they are so comfortable after you break them in (which dose take a while) surprisingly it’s pretty hard to find a black cowboy boot With lug soles I just wish they’d make a smooth leather version

I ordered these boots expecting the exact same size as my other Ariat boots. I have ordered both through Amazon (both Ariat store) and the same size and style (Ariat Work Boots). However, they are extremely different in the width area. The boot seemed to be good quality, however I cannot keep them as they are not wide enough. Please see the photos

Looks great, good boot. I was a little upset my last pair of Ariat work boots started to come apart until I realized I had been wearing them nearly every day for 2 years. So I guess you could say it was time. These are very similar to my last. When you first get them the leather is a little tight so the fit feels a little tighter on the sides, but as anyone who has bought this style of boot knows, after about 3 days of wear, they loosen up and fit like a glove. Personally, I recommend buying a good boot oil, I get mink oil and treating them right away. No idea if Ariat recommends it or not, but it has really seemed to help my boots last and save off the water.

I have wore them for a few times a week for 2 months and stitching is coming out already. 4th or 5th pair I have bought of the last 5 years a quality keeps going down. Time to look for a different brand.

I am on my third set of these boots. I own and operate a dairy and wear these daily. They get covered in mud splashed with caustic cleaning agents and housed down with water EVERY day. They hold up amazingly well especially considering what I do to them Its time to reorder again for me, my last pair was purchased 11 months ago and they are still intact but its time to replace them they are now badly cracked and scratched but they still have tread, again with what I do to these poor boots that is quite impressive, most "work boots" cannot take this kind of abuse for more than a few months, these have again made it to almost a year in boot hell. If you need a good looking hard working boot these are great, they are also a decent riding boot or even a low key dress boot.
