  • Comfortable and affordable Boots that are built to last!
Size: 12 Wide Color: Brown
They are Ariat. Enough said. My last pair of Ariat boots lasted 21 years. I expect these will, too. Sturdy, comfortable, perfect fit for my 12EE feet. These became my daily footwear as soon as I tried them on. Good thick slip-resistant sole, and very nice boot for work or just because you prefer to wear boots. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Ariat Groundbreakers Size Down 1 Full Size
Size: 9.5 Color: Brown
These Ariat Groundbreakers are very comfortable, however I did have to go through 3 sizes before finding my fit in this boot. For reference, I normally wear a 10.5 in New Balance, 10-10.5 in Asics, 9-9.5 in dress shoes (Cole Haans), 42-43 European size in Lem's barefoot shoes. I used to wear a 9.5 in Timberland work boots, they were steel-toe waterproof Titans. I've been looking to try out some Ariats, and although these are towards the economy line as Ariats go, they have not disappointed. Pros: *nice color and quality of leather and welt *comfortable insole although if you have high arches like I do you may want a more supportive replacement but this would be true in any western-style work boot *non-slip electrical hazard rated outer sole, also non-marking Cons: *not waterproof (I knew this when ordering and they breathe better, but if you're looking for waterproof this is not the model for you) *not steel-toed (again, I knew this and was looking for soft-toe boots, but if you are working in an industrial area make sure you look for the steel-toed groundbreakers) As for the fit, I returned 10.5 and 10 sizes for being too big before settling on 9.5. This size allowed some slipage in the heel as is necessary in a good fitting pull-on work boot. The top of the foot was a little looser than I would want at first, but as the leather has been breaking in over the last few weeks they have settled down on and around my foot and calf, and as the sole has become more flexible the heel has also settled in as well. Overall they are breaking in nicely. I wear two types of socks for work, summer I wear thinner boot socks, and with these socks the boots are slightly looser. With Merino wool gold-toe boot socks for winter they are slightly snug. I have experienced a slight toe pinch when crouching which usually means the last is too big, so I might have been able to get away with a size 9, but I wanted to leave plenty of room for the wool socks when winter comes. If your preference is tighter boots that break and stretch to your feet you may start at a size down from street shoe size then go down another half size to get that real snug feel. For most people though, I expect 1 full size down will be a good starting point for sizing these boots. As far as the styling, they are understated and simple which I like, and the calf is roomy for me and I have regular calf muscles, but if you are thinner than me you might find that part a little bit. I think anyone who has thick legs would fit and not find them too narrow. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and recommend these boots to anyone looking for a good-quality understated pull-on work boot. ... show more

  • Excellent Cowboy Boots!
Size: 8 Color: Bruin Brown
I've been looking for a square toe composite toe work boot that was water proof and insulated. This boot checked all the boxes! These boots are very warm and comfortable and I've worn them a lot since I bought them. They are indeed waterproof and the traction they provide is by far excellent in snow and ice. The first thing I did when I got them is I cleaned them with Red Wing leather soap and then let them dry. I then did 3x heavy coats of Huberd's Shoe Grease. Then let the boot sit for a couple days to absorb the grease before wearing them. I've been wearing them every other day (Pro Tip: Don't wear the same leather boots everyday!) and they still look like new, other than the usual workman's scuffs. This week I plan on cleaning them again and doing a nice coat or two of the Huberd's to prep them for more rain/snow/ice and sand/salt goodness. Key thing with any leather boot is to stay up on cleaning and oiling them. They will last for a long time. I also found that these boots are resoleable by NuShoe. ARIAT has a contract with them apparently. Very good boots, and I highly recommend them. ... show more

  • Boots on the Ground!
Size: 10.5 Color: Brown
Bought size 10.5. Husband says; nice supportive arch, ample rubber on the heel, nonslip, comfortable fit, can walk fast without slipping, easy to pull on. Will buy again!

  • Great 1st boot
Size: 9.5 Color: Brown
These are my first what I would consider real boots. I choose them because of the rating and the cost and the construction. I work a hobby farm and put everything I own to the test. These fit true to size. I typically don't wear socks, but have room to wear a good work sock in them. Either my right foot is slightly bigger or the right boot is cut slightly smaller as its snug getting past the ankle portion of the boot. I did put boot grease on them to help water proof them. It did darken the leather and hide the stitches design on the upper part of the boot. My feet are picky and will let me know if they are uncomfortable. My feet have not complained yet and I have worn them well just over a week. The sole is a bit hard and not aggressive enough to my liking as the ground can be a bit slick at times, but it is tolerable for sure. The first two picks are of one boot greased and the other not. The other after a weeks wear. Updated: 10/2/17 Well after just over a year the sole is separating from the toe box on the left boot. Typically I don't think this to be normal and I have an email into the company to see. However, I am extremely hard on all my stuff, including these boots, so I can not complain. They cost 100 dollars, so if they all last one year, as hard as I use them, I am good with that. They get wet, muddy, sweaty, and beat up all the way around. I did treat them when I purchased them and they have kept my feet dry with two treatments a couple months apart. I just ordered my replacement pair, this time with s square toe. ;) These have been the most comfort of all my footware I own and I am on my feet most the day. ... show more

  • Even the wide sizes are narrow.
Size: 12 Wide Color: Brown
This is an outstanding boot. It’s well put together and of high quality. Even though it stated a wide fit, I had to use a long boot horn to get my foot inside and once in it fit very tightly to the point of causing pain when walking. I ended up giving them to my son who wears the same size but has a narrower foot. ... show more
