First of all, most of the reviews say they have issues with the size. I ordered at my normal size and they fit perfect. I could have actually gone up a half size in case I wanted to wear really thick Alpaca socks. Second, they are pretty comfortable out of the box. They will need some breaking in but after wearing them at work for a couple days I'm pretty happy with the comfort so far. Third, the BOA laces are the way to go. Tightens on the right spots and being able to adjust them on the fly is very convenient. I'll be back to update as needed, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy them if I was you. EDIT: My BOA lace on one of the boots broke 7 months in. I am currently working with Ariat to see if they will warranty them. But be cautious if you use these as daily boots, the cable may break sooner than expected. ... show more

awesome work boots work in the oil and gas industry love the fact that am able to tightened the boot and in winter able to wear insulated socks and plenty of room

Tightening cable broke after only 2 1/2 months. Loved the boots for couple months and now $275 down the drain and boots are barely broken in.
