I bought these for my son who had started a new job at Discount Tire. He had never worn work boots before but rather swore by Nikes and other types of shoes that would offer him no protection at all at work. He accepted them "kicking and screaming". Fast forward 10 months and you will find that I have since bought him 3 more pairs of Ariat boots for various occasions (at his request!). He loves their fit, style and comfort and now refuses to wear anything but Ariat. This particular style boot is still his favorite. They keep his feet dry and warm while working in a wet and cold environment. SIZING: as expected. He normally wears a size 13 and that is what I ordered for him. He said they were a little snug in the beginning but they stretched out to be perfect within a couple of days COMFORT: If he could sleep in them as well, he would have. He now thinks these are more comfortable than his beloved Nikes. WATERPROOF: They keep his feet warm and dry even while collecting tires in the snow. SOLES: Provide excellent traction!     • The perfect boot

It's been nearly six years since I bought my these. That's six years of hiking through fields and mud and hills and rocks. That's six months of working in a woodshop with constant spills and scuffs and all manner of wear. I was wearing these boots when I died for two minutes and was rushed to the hospital and thee boots were the only link I had to my old life, sitting beside the hospital bed as I recovered. I can honestly say that I have never had a pair of boots, shoes or anything for my feet that I like as much. I've tried on lots of different boots and have about 5 pairs I currently own. That means I have 4 pairs that I nearly never wear and these. I cannot recommend these boots enough. The color hides dirt. The soles are slip proof and they are also waterproof. They are easy to get on and off, wide enough at the top, roper style toe is as comfortable as sneakers and as light weight as tennis shoes. The protection has saved me many times and I'm only now considering getting a new pair. But it will be a pair exactly the same. ... show more

Great fit. Very comfortable to wear. I work in HVAC, and standing on ladders all day used to kill my feet. With these boots, I can go all day and not have aching feet when I get home. They fit great, a little snug at first but after a few weeks they opened right up. They are waterproof, but I'd still recommend going over them with Hubberds or mink oil beforehand. They are NOT insulated, so while they are great to wear during the summer, (they get a little warm, but what leather boots don't), winter I've found they're good down to about 20 degrees. All said, I'd definitely buy these again. Only reason this got a 4 star is because I've only had them for a few months and can't speak to the longevity. Will update in about a year. ... show more

    • Great boot, use it with suits!

I have always wanted a pair of cowboy boots. I tried on several but none of them really went with my wardrobe. I have to wear suits for my job and I needed a pair of boots that I could wear in the winter. When I found these, I was skeptical given the fact that no other ones I tried really worked for me. These were different. The toe does not narrow down so much that my feet look like little nubs. They are stylish and so far are really waterproof - I stepped in a deep puddle and no moisture inside! I followed the reviews and ordered a half size down. I normally wear a size 11 shoe, but the 10.5 fit perfectly. They are also incredibly comfortable. I have a standing desk at work and stand all day and they did not bother me (I run in minimalist sneakers and the heel rise has not bothered me even when I am standing 8-9 hours a day at my desk). Also, the minimal stitching design at the top of the boot gives them the cowboy feel without going overboard. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the market for a waterproof boot! ... show more

These boots come with a lining that begins to release from the boot. Eventually when you remove the boot the lining comes with it. Making it very difficult to take the boot off. I would not recommend these to anyone. Within weeks they where not wearable! Don’t buy!
