Initial first impressions. They are pretty good. Currently breaking them in while at work. Sizing will be a concern for some. Especially for those who need some protection. The composite toe makes the toe box feel cramped. There is no major pain at all. I can still wiggle my toes fine. But if your stuck on debating if you need wide or normal width. Id say to play in the safe side, you can go wide. My brannock size is 7.5d and I order a 7d. This boot would be prefectly fine without the toe protection also. For around $200 you can go for the Workhog boot or irish setter wing shooter also. But of course that depends on your budget. ... show more

Gave us a gift to my son-in-law. He said he really loves them that they are good quality boot. He loves the style and said it fits perfectly. It was a size 12 1/2. They’re supposed to be waterproof, but he hasn’t really tested that yet. Very good boot very good value for the money.

Boots are less than 3mos old and one of the lace grommets came off of left boot. Very poor quality for an Ariat product that is definitely not cheap. See picture attached.
