I work long hours in a warehouse (10-12.5 depending on the day) and I went from barely being able to walk at the end of the week (literally) to possibly enduring normal pain in the feet if anything (some weeks this is even minimal). I would recommend these boots to anyone and everyone and I will never wear anything else ever again unless if I'm at the beach with some flip flops (these have literally become my every day shoe/boot). My brother in law bought these before me and he is the one that told me about how comfortable they are. So there's 2 reviews for the price of one. I’m on my feet for more than 10 hours a day. These boots are very comfortable. Great look to them and very well put together. My friend told me they run small so I ordered mine wide and they fit perfect. Definitely something to consider when buying.

I’ve had these for about a week now and I was very shocked after wearing these. I made the switch from lace up Red Wings to pull on Ariats and man these are super comfortable. Little hard to slip on but over all this is a great boot.

    • Glued to My Foot! Not Waterproof

I have worn Ariat boots for the last 6 years and I just started wearing steel toe for my work boots for safety. They are relatively comfortable for steel toe and the fit snug. It seems like there is more padding or insulation in these boots than a standard western boot. That ended up being their demise and my problem. After pressure washing a job the inside of the boot became saturated because they are only waterproof isn’t the areas of leather (not the mesh portion), and after my feet were wet and saturated all day I went to take my boot off and nope.. it was glued to my foot. The inside fabric broke loose from the shell of the boot and my foot was literally trapped in the boot because when I pulled, the guts of the boot moved slightly and wouldn’t let go of my foot. I’ve been wearing them for 5 months which is a vary short timeframe for Ariats to last. I’ll try them one more time but be careful they won’t hold up well to water. ... show more

Can’t go wrong with Ariats. Great overall work boot. Comfortable fit and they hold up well in my line of work. I work on pipe lines so am in and out of ditches all day and am not easy on boots.

    • Horrible first Impression....

I was looking for a solid work boot on the "cheaper" side for shop and yard use. after speaking with my brother and a few friends that have been Ariat customers for quite a while, I decided to give em' a whirl. while needing something semi-light, cool on the temperature side, and steel toed, I found the Ariat Groundbreaker. I have them shipped to work, just because I am so excited to see them in person. I get them home and they fit fantastic, they feel great, they are light, a real dream come true in the work boot world. Then comes the real test.... putting them to work. 1st day GREAT!!! Second day GREAT!!!! DAY 3..... WTF?! the liner on the inside of both boots comes loose making it impossible to get them off and a real pain in the rear to walk in. I have no real impression on any other Ariat boot, and perhaps I am the one unlucky bastard out of however many to have this happen, but on the off chance this happens more often than not, I would steer clear from this boot.     • Great Boot for the Price I got them 2 years ago.

The Boots I ordered where to replace a Very cheap non steel toe boot that was nothing but a chew toy for some dogs. The boots where a little tight when they arrived and they got to a size that was a little bit big after 2 years of working in Snow and Hot conditions, the Water proofing held up good till a young pup got hold of them and made a few small holes that made the boots a little soggy to work in them after being out in the snow or in some muddy conditions. They are still very conformable and easy to get in them and out of them but when your feet start sweating well you need a little bit of force to get your foot out of the vacuum that is made but all and all will more then likely buy them again once these boots run their coarse and get ether shredded by a machine or just wear out over time. But to some of those that get defective Product check who your getting the boot from ether it be a group that is selling used products or warn out and the original customer sent them back and the group failed to clean them or inspect them properly, but buy new and never used. ... show more

    • Great Boots CHEAP Insoles..

These are great Boots in terms of build quality with the Goodyear Welt and thick Leather and only took a couple days to start to break in. I have other Ariat Boots with the 4LR Insole which is superb and extremely comfortable and these Workhog Boots come with a generic Ariat Insole and it’s just a tad bit better than not having one at all and for 2 bills you’d think Ariat wouldn’t skimp on comfort. I wear a size 12 to 13 sneaker and lace up Boot depending on brand but the 11 Ariat I ordered fits perfectly. It seemed like a tight fit and maybe to small the first day but quickly started forming to my feet and now the fit is perfect and breaking in nicely as a Wellington type Boot should fit. The made in Mexico Ariats I have with the 4LR insole feel like bedroom slippers when I wear them but due to a Spine injury I had to go with a lower heel and more cushion and other than the cheap Insole these are nice Boots but should be 25 bucks cheaper so you can buy the proper Ariat Max Insole separately. I would give 5 stars if they were here in these Boots but Ariat dropped the Ball on this one and a huge Global Company like Ariat may be letting there loyal customers from the early 2 thousands down focusing on PBR and huge Clients maybe. It might be time to get back to Justins like I wore in the 80’s.. made in the PRC also but still great Leather. ... show more
