So after struggling trying to remove an oil filter that had been on a car parked for 12 years decided to order this unit. It arrived in a neat little package with all the parts included (adapter for different size ratchet drives). It's a solid piece and it's designed well. Really like the magnetic holder that keeps the unit attached to the oil filter so you don't have to struggle to keep it on while turning. Reduces frustration and the amount of colorful language. Using the larger socket drive input with a universal joint attached to a breaker bar it was easy to position the unit in a very tight spot. After saying a prayer and expecting the worst - applied very evenly centered torque and the stuck oil filter immediately released!!! As you can see from the pictures the oil filter was pretty mangled from the attempts to remove it previous to using this unit. The distorted filter posed absolutely no problem for the unit and it didn't slip one bit on the oil filter. Highly recommend this unit especially for oil filters placed in unholy tight spots designed by engineers with absolutely no field experience! Buy it - you won't regret it. ... show more

Works well on suvs and smaller cars. But 6.7 Ford diesels the claws start to bend outwards. Have to hammer the claws straight after using it.

The media could not be loaded. Diesel Mech so use it on hard to reach and tight filters. Only used twice and the gears are starting to wear. Probably should have bought American made. The country of origin says it all.
