The rug is almost exactly what I expected. A very beautiful design, thin material, and comfortable to the feet. It is a little bit slick... I don't know if that is the material or some sort of treatment to make it stain resistant. But it sits still on hardwood floors and doesn't slide around... that is something I like about it. I don't know if putting it into a washing machine is the best idea though... it is very large and a solid material, and doesn't seem like it would wash very easily. Since the rug was packed into such a small package, there are some lines in it from where it was folded that need to be ironed out. (Ironing is part of the instructions). I got this since I was looking for an area rug for my living room but many things I saw in stores were too expensive, too gaudy or too cheap looking. I took a chance on this since it was offered through Vine and I found something that was better than I expected. I have seen many similar rugs that had complaints about being too thin, too small or not being like what was pictured. In this case I got exactly what was listed. The size was spot on, as well as matching the color and design from the picture. It arrived in a box all folded up and initially I just winced cause I thought it was gonna be creased or months but incredibly as soon as I unfolded it the creases were not that noticeable and they were all one within a few days. I don't know about throwing this thing in a washing machine but since it is much lighter than your standard area rug I can see it being easy to wash in a large commercial washer and dryer but I will prolly stick to vacuuming and using a carpet cleaner when necessary. I usually lie down on it since it's so comfortable. There was no odor that I noticed when I opened it and have not had an reactions on my skin like itching or rashes like can happen with some "cheap" products. If the design and the colors match what you are looking for in order to decorate a room, I say this one is a winner. ... show more

I had a medium pile throw rug that was soft on the backside in my living room and it was beautiful! WAS is the key word here. After two years of the cat, foot traffic, and spilled wine the carpet was looking pretty tired. I have been looking at these "washable" rugs for a while now and even ordered one from Amazon, but when I received it, the colors were all wrong and the pattern looked pixelated, so I sent it back. When I saw this one I liked that it really didn't have a pattern, as in oriental rugs, etc., and it didn't look pixelated. Plus, the colors are very neutral and go perfectly with my living room. The carpet won't be the center design, but rather a... carpet; it adds texture and color, but it's not a statement. the carpet is well made and affordable. What's not to love about it? Plus, it's easy to vacuums, spot clean, and when I want to wash it - it will be hung on my clothes line and I'll spray it down with the garden hose on the 'Jet' setting, like I do with my wool area rugs. I have ordered several different brands of similar rugs. a thin carpet but still feels plush and soft. I don't particularly care for a very thick cushiony padding underneath the carpet so this fits the bill perfectly. It has a silicone blend backing that keeps it from sliding around on the floor and the abstract pattern blends with just about any decor. Keep in mind that with these types of thinner rugs, you do have to allow them to lay flat and relax for a few days. The pile always looks nice and should last a long time. The looks of this rug is everything it's very nice and thick the color is nice I'm always a lover for grey it's not too heavy weighted.Best rug I've ever had so far its easy to clean I only vacuum it once and it was still looking new after and let me not forget to mention the softness of this rug when you step on it the best feeling ever remind me of one of those furry rugs.Its very affordable if your looking for a nice rug get this one ... show more
