Had a kinda strong smell to it but I washed it right away and the smell was completely gone. SO happy about that. Its a decent thickness and will easily serve the purpose I bought it for. Great buy in my opinion and I will buy more in the future.

I got this to use for general embroidery. Just things for myself. It's a little thin, but a fairly tight weave that holds stitches in place very well. You just need to keep your ends under control by weaving them under the stitches in the back and trimming them.

This is good fabric. In thee 70's my mother in-law made quilts to sell an she always used muslin for her quilt backing. I learned how to make quilts from her , only difference is she only made hand made quilt's, she didn't have a sewing machine. That is why i use muslin for backing my quilt's, to honor her. I use this to apply shoe cleaner and polish on leather shoes. I washed it first to eliminate the fuzz which is natural with this product. Washing it did of course wrinkle it greatly. That’s not an issue for my purpose. The texture has just enough coarseness to it for cleaning the delicate shoe surface but it’s soft enough for buffing. I got tired of spending the same amount to get a few little squares hidden under shoe polish names. Once I found out what the actual fabric was, I was thrilled to find this option.
