Have you ever had a rug that was so soft and silky and cushy and luxurious that the minute you laid it down on the floor all you wanted to do was lay down on it and take a long nap? Me neither, until I got this one. It’s probably a good thing that I ordered this rug because I’m helping my son put together a nice guest room in his house. If I were to keep it here, I would probably never get up off the floor again. My first picture has the rug on my living room floor with the black, white, and gray patterned curtains that we got for his guest room. This rug is such a true, deep, rich black that it almost makes the black in the curtains look faded. However, this really isn’t a problem because when the light hits the silky fibers, they reflect back a silvery gray, which adds a nice look of depth to the rug and ties together well with the curtains. In my second photo, you can see the tag showing the 100% polyester fiber content, and also the backing. Because this rug is 100% polyester, it really is washable. The only thing you’ll want to do is completely avoid using heat on it. In other words, never ever use hot water to wash it or any heat in the dryer to dry it. If you do, you will completely destroy the rug. Never use any kind of fabric softener when washing or drying it either because it leaves a residue on the fibers that will cause them to mat down and you’ll destroy the most wonderful feature of this rug, which is it’s silky, luxurious feel. The pile on the rug is about 1-1/2 inches high and even though the backing does a good job of gripping the surface it’s laid on, it will be difficult difficult to use a regular vacuum to clean it. Because it is extremely lightweight for its 5’ x 7’ size, it’s not hard to pick it up, carry it outside, and give it a good shake. You can also spot clean it with a rag and water. I know this works for a fact because the first thing that happened to it when I laid it on the floor is my golden retriever brought one of her chew bones over and proceeded to have a nice long chew on this comfy new rug. When she finished, I discovered little bits of rawhide stuck to the surface of the rug. I cleaned them off with a wet rag, used an old towel to help dry the surface, and then brushed it up with my hand once the fibers had dried. It worked perfectly, and the rug was as good as new again. I have to say that this is one of the nicest rugs I have ever bought. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. The stitching on the binding is neat and even. The binding itself has zero twist. The rug relaxed quickly and lays perfectly flat. Priced at just $26.99, it’s not just a great value, it’s a steal! When I showed it to my son, he just loved it. Seeing how my cat parked himself on it and refused to move, his only worry is that once he puts it down on the floor in his guest room floor, his cats will move into that room permanently. If you’re looking for an amazingly soft rug at a ridiculously low price, look no further, you’ve found it.

This area rug is incredibly comfortable and makes for a perfect spot to lay down and relax. It has an ultra soft texture that makes it an immediate hit for lounging, and it would likely work wonderfully in a child room or a cozy reading nook. In fact, my cats are completely obsessed with it and can almost always be found napping on it stretched out to their full length. Despite being relatively lightweight and easy to move around, the rug backing does a surprisingly good job of holding its ground, staying firmly in place without constantly sliding around on hard floors. Aesthetically, the black color is a very deep, beautiful shade that looks sharp and adds a nice contrast to the room. However, there are some practical maintenance details to keep in mind if you have pets or a busy household. That deep black fabric shows white fur and light colored pet hair very easily, meaning it will require regular upkeep to keep it looking clean. Furthermore, because of the plush texture and pile, it will likely be quite a pain to clean thoroughly. To save yourself some frustration, it is best to keep it away from entryways or high traffic areas where boots and outdoor grit can easily track across it. Overall, it is a fantastic, incredibly plush accent piece that delivers luxurious comfort, as long as you place it strategically to avoid heavy dirt.

This is an amazing rug especially at this price point but realistically it would be even at a higher price. The rug is a true deep black which is what I was looking for to put at the foot of my bed. We recently replaced a carpeted bedroom with wood floors, and it has been lacking some warmth. This rug has solved the problem. It goes very well with the grays, browns and other blacks in the room. Although the rug is not that thick, the pile is tall and shaggy and oh so soft on your feet. My little dogs have taken up residence on it! It seems to be made well with nice stitching, it's washable and it looks and feels great, so it checks all the boxes. I would not wash it more than absolutely necessary for fear of fading but that would happen with any dark color rug. Great product!
