We're Arcturus, an outdoor company from Washington State. We know a few things about cold, wet weather, and that's why we developed our line of all weather, survival blankets. It is a must have for hikers, campers and boaters. This survival blanket is extra large, measuring 8.5 feet by 12 feet when fully deployed and weighs just over 3 pounds. This unique blanket features a Mylar reflective side which can be used to reflect heat, create a radiant barrier, or signal for help. The other side is made of two layers of polypropylene, which creates a waterproof barrier and can be used as a blanket, tarp or shelter. 1st try setting up a tent with this tarp. Tried to pull it tight and the middle grommet popped out. These things were supposed to support a lot of weight tension. So disappointing. Bought as a cheaper alternative to the premade ones for RVs used a few bungee cords to keep in position. works great to reflect or keep heat in. Highly recommend for the price. Also came with a convenient stow bag that's takes up very little room.

Bought this to put over the canvas pop out of my Travel trailer. Its first use held up to a pouring rain storm with 30mph wind. Worked great. Used bungees so secure it down. It held the heat inside the trailer. A perk not expected is it darkened the canvas pop up so it allows one to sleep in later in the morning. Fold up and stores well although I wasn't going to get in back onto the zippered envelope it came in. would be nice if that had been bit larger to accommodate after a refold. but definitely worth the value. ... show more

This makes a great tarp but be advised the XL is huge. Very happy with the strength of the material, reinforcing around the grommets (huge grommets) and it's impervious to rain. Only down side is the bag --I dare anyone to fit it back in after use. Lol Not a big deal for me as I had a spare dry bag that works perfect for it. Too heavy for backpack gear but at a regular camp site with the kids it was absolutely perfect! I'd also recommend keeping this in your car if you live in cold climates --it could be a life saver! ... show more

Life savor, made of good material, used it to cover the roof of the tent it kept our body heat from escaping and was fully waterproof not after rain and snow for three days. Would buy an even bigger size if available.

We purchased this to give us some added warmth in our sleeping loft in our uninsulated pole barn in northern lower Michigan where the weather can go from mid 80’s to high 30’s…it helped tremendously!!! We would be frozen without it. Very well made and so practical!!!

This tarp is awesome! Very thick, blocks wind well, and on my camp the other night. I made a very simple shelter with it, I slept comfortably down to 30°F. The flaws of it, however.. there are imperfections throughout where you can see small spots of light. Also, the reflective inner layer i fear, will not last for many trips. It is very plastic-like and will likely tear or wear off.. For the price, I will be a happy customer if it last me through this camping season. ... show more

Arrived earlier than expected. Packaged very well. This Survival Tarp fits the bill for setting a quick bushcraft shelter that will protect you from the elements. Good product! Would buy again and reccomend to a friend.
