It works good can change the sensitivity of the delay. Can also adjust the darkness. Has a weld/grind mode that works good. For the money it’s a good helmet. It is a little wide and does let in a lot of ambient light from the back.

This welding helmet is top tier. I needed a new helmet due to my old one being beaten up and batter over the last 5 years and not being able to see my welds anymore. The only thing my old one is good for is keeping me from burning my retinas out. This Arccaptain welding helmet is phenomenal especially for this price range. I can see my welds crystal clear now and I absolutely love the true color view it allows me to see it better than the classic dark green tint on other helmets! I really enjoy the grinding/welding setting which allows the auto dimming to turn off when you’re grinding so that you can continue to see what you’re doing all while having good protection! This helmet works more often then some of my expensive units. The auto darkening settings are easy to use and the grinding setting works like it is supposed to and is versatile enough to provide a wide arrangement of protect you from debris, sparks, and from going blind from welding! There is a bunch of adjustability for the fitment of your funky dome. Seems to be strong enough to last a while and may stop a grinding disc but I'd rather not try to find out for you. ... show more

Ive used several welding helmets and after having both cheap and high dollar ones fail after a few years use I decided to buy a cheap one with no real expectations. Well this works as good as some of the more expensive helmets I have used. The controls for darkness are very effective. The fit is great and stays on the head as it should. It has a grind and weld mode. To turn of lens sensitivity move switch to grind mode. I would definitely recommend this helmet for both the pro and the home user. ... show more

I love this helmet all the settings work great and you can adjust it perfectly and also has a option for grinding so it wont dim on you and you have a face shield and eye protection doing it. Definitely great for the money! Fits great and comfortable to me. So far my battery is still good.
