Talking about going back to better times! Street Fighter II conjures up childhood memories that have long been forgotten but are so refreshing during these dark days. The machine comes in a much smaller box than I expected but everything was very efficiently packed with no danger of damage even though the box itself had seen better days. After unpacking all contents and double checking everything was accounted for, it was time to check out the instructions. We all know that this make or break time with all furniture builds. Luckily, these instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The build definitely requires 2 people but only takes 20 mins tops. Your only required tool is a screwdriver. Once the game is put together, all you have to do is plug it in and turn it on. The games comes with a 3 switch for the volume control - off, medium, and high. The only minus is that the medium volume is pretty loud all on its own. To my ear, that volume level should be associated with the high one and the medium one would be about 10 dbs lower for night time play that doesn’t wake up the fam. Other than that, everything is exactly like you remember from being a kid, just at 3/4 scale since the unit is about 6 inches narrow than what you played in the arcade. Finally, if you are taller than 5 feet, I definitely recommend you buying this one with the accessory riser or you will not be comfortable playing this thing. This is such a great nostalgic unit. The fact this model comes with the riser makes it a better unit to get that feel you remember. The unit is easy to put together. I first ordered through arcade 1up. Their website said the had 1 new on Amazon, so the website redirected me to Amazon to purchase. It was advertised as new. As i unboxed it, I noticed that the main player board was used and worn down. It came with a paper topper to cover up the damage, I took pictures. I'm very disappointed ... show more

So far so good, I used it twice a week to try to get better, I know a few more moves with ryu. I recommend getting a riser with the moves on it. Always fun when a friend or family comes over. Set up was probably medium, have a friend help you with it.

It was easy to assemble and get up and running quickly. The games are all true to the arcade with my favorite being Champion Addition. I got this for my office as a way to stand up and take a brain break. I would get too invested into it though and found myself killing an hour at it so I sold it and bought a Golden Tee instead. ... show more
