The cabinet was solid, games true to the arcade. Assembly definitely needs 2 people, so a heads up on that. The only gripes I have are that there are no scanline options like on my countercade, no division line between the split screen on head to head games, and you cannot play full screen on one player mortal kombat games like half the other games in the cabinet will allow. I am sure it is just a limitation in the screen resolution, but at the least, scanlines would have been a nice option. There was a distorted speaker on the player 2 control panel, and after a few email exchanges outlining the problem, 1up stepped up and are sending me a replacement player 2 control panel. The “gripes” are insignificant to the casual gamer to be honest. Oh, and get some anti slip rubber strips or a mat to place it on, if you have laminate or hardwood floors. Recommended overall.

I'll start by saying that overall, I really enjoy this cabinet. The cocktail style is much more comfortable when you are playing with 2 players. The game selection is great. Love that Gauntlet, Rampage, Root Beer Tapper, and other classics were included. I think the screen could be a little bigger, but at a discounted price of 300, I'm not too upset with that. Only thing I really didn't care for is the quality control. This thing came very well packaged, but that doesn't help much when things are damaged before they are put in the package. Vinyl had indentations and scratches all over it, and one small part was torn. The screen has dust stuck behind it that I might be able to clean up if I disassembled the monitor fully, but I don't want to go through the hassle. At least I can't see it when it's turned on. It's like they slam these things around and build them in a dirty garage or something. All that said, it's still incredibly fun and I've always wanted to play MK at home in an arcade cabinet. It's still miles better than any of the console ports I played as a kid. It would have been amazing if you could have bought something like this in the 90's for 300 bucks. It's a great addition to holiday parties and it always draws a crowd. I wish there was another big competitor to arcade 1up in this space, but you take what you can get and it's still fun. Really more like a 3 star, but for the discounted price of 300, I would buy it again, so giving it a 4. Work on your quality control!

Great product and was packaged pretty well. I was worried because the box had a gash in one of the edges but there was no damage to any of the parts. Relatively easy to set up but a few of the screws didnt want to go in smoothly. The plexiglass and table surface had plastic film protecting them but there were still some small scratches on the table surface. Not a big deal but worth noting. Feels solidly built and the controls are nice. I wish the screen was a little bigger but its acceptable the way it is. It has some good games on it but a few of them are kind of lame. Wish it would have had a few more games. Maybe theres a way to add a few more.

Aside from the fact that cocktail games are just a little harder to play/see (always have been), this is excellent. I did get it on sale, but mostly to determine the quality, before spending more on some of the uprights… easy to put together, took a little more than an hour after in-boxing. The plug that goes through the box, was a pita to get all the way in, was my only complaint. I really got this for the tapper, which I used to always play in my youth. GREAT BUY!!! Love it!

Great price for this wonderful addition to my game room! I was worried some parts would be scratched, but each piece came in perfect condition. I put this together myself. It was pretty easy to assemble. I would say that it took about an hour or so to get it going. It's pretty light weight, so you can move it around easily after assembling. There are two led light bars that illuminate the button boards. You can change the colors, which is pretty cool! There is an easy to miss button on the bars located on the right side.

I made some mods to the cabinet immediately. The electric cord was to short for me so I made a longer one, I added wheels to it and added much needed move lists for mortal Kombat under the plexiglass. The only real issue I have with this is the control sticks feel a little mushy. It's fine for just playing around a little but if you're trying to do some of the more complicated moves on mortal Kombat you can basically forget about it. It's not just me everyone who plays Mortal Kombat on this has the same issue the control stick is just not precise so advanced moves are impossible . I'll have to upgrade that later . All in all it's a cool thing fun conversation starter to have in the living room.
