Description

This is our most versatile GORE-TEX shell. Made with a durable 80D face fabric and a GORE‑TEX ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane that’s light, strong, and PFC-free, it delivers lasting waterproof, windproof, breathable protection with a reduced carbon footprint. The C-KNIT backer adds comfort, and the low- profile StormHood adjusts with a quick pull to provide coverage and maintain lines of sight. Articulation removes restriction, and an embedded RECCO reflector can aid in search emergencies.

I love the lightness and waterproofness of this jacket. I wear it in the city, while trekking, in golfing etc… Depending on the weather I wear different kind of layers inside. Not cheap but worth it!

    • Waterproof, lightweight, breathable & practical.
I am 5'11 160lbs ordered a medium and it fits perfect, I have other jackets like the beta SV. I like this more because of its practicality, its lighter and the material isn't as loud or crunchy. I needed something i could trust to keep me dry during rain in the PNW, I had other jackets from plenty of brands ranging from eddie bauer, northface, helly hansen ect not all were gore-tex of course. I work alot outside in the weather, do lots of outdoor activity for long periods of time, now if you are just taking grocerys out of the car or checking the mail most other jackets would sevice. Due to my exposure to the ellements for long term during, fishing, hiking or going for a walk on a rainy day I don't trust much else. Its also light easy to stow away and drys quickly. Now I don't walk through bushes or climbing rocks, so I can't say to much about durabilty since I'm not rough with my gear. ... show more

I’ve always thought Arc’teryx to be overpriced and not a good value so this is my first Arc’teryx purchase. Turns out, I was right (IMO) the first time. I compared this to my $179 Torrentshell and it was really close, but the Torrentshell is less than half the price. The Arc’teryx is light, but is thin, crackly and certainly not worth the extra money in my opinion. ... show more

The quality of the Arc’teryx jacket itself is great, but the sizing runs small. Unfortunately, I had to return it, and the return process delayed me for about two weeks. Because of that, I can only give it 3 stars.
