    • This tool needs a redesigned power switch. It won’t stay on in use.
Power switch turns off in use. Would have to tape down or keep your finger on switch. I tried two- both with the same fault.

    • Special oil
The carver works just fine, however; they want you to use their "special" oil. That's not a problem, because you only use two drops at a time. The problem is with the little oil bottle. The tip of the dropper bottle released it's tip while I was adding the required two drops. This resulted in oil being spilled all over the power chisel. The chisel itself gets five stars, but the oil bottle gets a half of a star. The oil costs too much for that kind of nonsense. ... show more

    • Good Product Not recommended for continues use.
Good tool. The chisels are sharp and easy to to use. the one drawback is the head needs to be oil before each use and if you are going to use it over extended amount need to be oiled often. For my older students the oiling issue is not a problem, but for younger middle school students, remembering to oil the head is often forgotten. If you set aside the oiling issue I would recommend it to anyone. ... show more

    • Great wood chisel that makes it much easier to cut away strips of hard and soft wood.
I purchased this directly from Arbortech, Australia. Took a few weeks to get but worth the wait. As an artist, I was looking for a faster way to cut the base chiseled areas before detailing and this speeds up my approach dramatically without wearing out my arms or throwing off my designs. It comes with a set of well sharpened chisels, and the tool itself is very easy to use. Just snap in a chisel and turn it on, put the head of the chisel to the wood and with a touch of pressure it will give smooth, clean cuts every time. I really like how this works, one of my favorite tools now for wood carving. No sawdust! Cut a small amount each time and it will work through even hard wood as if you are hammering each cut. Remember to put a few drops of oil in before and after each use, and every 15 minutes or so. It comes with a small amount to start with. I highly recommend this tool if you are into actual wood carving to get loose outer effects and even for some detail work. Powerful and lots of fun to use! ... show more
