I picked this up for my early fall clean-up, dealing with my wood line where black locust trees like to drop big branches that never quite hit the ground. i really needed a little thicker rope for my dorky hobby/exercise of magnet fishing, the string that comes with the enormous magnet just would not do definitely not how i do it i use two magnets on one line that's why i needed rope and not tooth floss for my workout. this rope is cheap and does the job and seems to be holding up well, it does get drug through some very abrasive and sometimes yucky stuff, so far impressed. i do need to come to terms with the fact that i am not a treasure hunter and do it solely for the workout wahhhwahh.

I ordered this rope because I have been working on my roof lately. I had bought some rope from a discount store and I was not really confident in it. This half inch x100-ft rope is extremely strong easily holds my weight and much more. At 100 ft, I am able to put this rope up all the way over my roof and anchor both ends allowing me to tie off at various points to my climbing harness. Compared to other alternatives, this rope is a great value. I should note that I'm also wearing a climbing helmet.

This 50' length of Braided Polyester line is everything it is described to be. I have used this type of rope in tree work for a number of years, safely lowering limbs. This rope is smaller and shorter than I would typically use, it is still capable of medium to small tree branches. The ability to break the fall of 150-200 pound tree limb is not something a typical rope will survive, this one does. The right combination of materials and construction have been combined to produce a rope with little spring and a lot of strength. The high vis color helps with spatial awareness when there are many things to be aware of at once. The rope here is used in a wide variety of critical situations, my experience is only with arborist applications. For those uses, I would suggest using a larger diameter of this same rope. It is a quality item they have produced and I recommend purchasing.

My daughter has been asking me to make a rope swing for her, and for that I wanted a sturdy rope that would hold plenty of weight as well as hold up to the elements being outdoors. This rope appears that it will handle both of those requirements. While I don't have any way of testing whether the rope can hold 3968 lbs as claimed, I would say that this is a very substantial rope. Weighing in at 2 lbs 6.8 oz (or just over 1.1 kg) for the entire 50' coil, this rope is over twice the per-foot weight of a 1/2" diamond braid rope from the big orange box that is rated at a 310 lb working load, but the materials used and the construction of the rope impact the strength far more than just the weight of the rope, so it's hard to compare or draw conclusions on the strength of this rope from other ropes. That said, I have no doubt that this would hold far more weight than a rope swing would ever have to carry--easily well into the many hundreds of pounds, and that is good enough for my purposes.

Picked this up for tie-down with our pickup truck when hauling heavy loads and for other projects around the garden/house. It’s well made and thicc! There are a multitude of uses for this rope. I’m not sure I’d trust it for climbing but for general usage around the house, it’s more than enough to accomplish the tasks. It comes all rolled up, shrink wrapped and tied-off. No muss, no fuss with tangled rope. If you need some high-quality rope for tasks around the house or moving, pick this up.
