Festool should include this cover by default for the price of their tools, but they don't. This is a tight fit, works for reducing dust, and can be popped off for blade changes. I can recommend this if the price is reasonable. I will never own a track saw without a dust cover like this.

For years now I’ve covered the blade opening on my Festool TS55 with a piece of Scotch Exterior Surface Painter’s Tape. The track saw is great at minimizing dust but a small piece of tape over the blade but access port helps improve the dust collection. I decided to spoil myself and get this ToolCurve Arbor Cover. Not sure why Festool hasn't figured out something to fix the gaping hole on the side of their saws, but they sure have! It works great, flexes well without breaking for when you need to remove it for blade changes. Only thing is it seems pricey for what is a 3d printed part, but throw in free shipping and it's right on par with what else is out there. ... show more

Nice little piece, easy to install. I honestly can't believe what a difference this makes with dust extraction. The saw and extractor combo I have is pretty impressive, but I honestly think I could saw in the house with little to no dust. Wow.

    • Good idea, lacking execution - doesn't fit TS55EQ

The idea is great and if the cover fit it would be a nice addition to the track saw. I've always used a piece of painters tape over the access hole on the track saw cover but saw this in use by a few YT folks. But the execution of the idea needs work. It's a nicely finished 3D printed plastic shield but it is too loose to snap in place - it needs a piece of tape to hold it in place. I tried emailing the seller on their website but never received a reply. I'd send it back but it seems hardly worth the trouble. It may fit other versions of the TS55 track saw but will not fit the TS55EQ so if that's your saw, stick with the tape. ... show more

The first one I got broke, but they replaced it with a new one right away. I still had to drop off the defective product to return it which was kind of dumb in my mind, I figured a picture would suffice, or I would have given it 5 stars 😂
