This is a great trolling motor! Installed it on my 18' pontoon boat. One thing that I discovered, during initial setup (when I was just trying to "bench test" the unit on my workbench) is that the USB dongle will not "pair" with the motor head until the motor shaft is set "vertical" (like it normally would be when installed on your boat and motor is down in the water). This perplexed me for a while, thinking it wasn't working at all when I had everything laying flat/horizontal on my work bench. Now that's on the boat, everything works great! Very energy efficient - can run all day on my 12V 100ah Lifepo4 battery. I'd say you could get a good 8-10 hours of continuous trolling at lower speeds on one battery (maybe more). Great trolling motor though - works great and is quiet!

I don't know why I waited so long to make this upgrade. I've only used 1 time since I installed it but it was quite satisfying. Installation was a bit challenging in my application but I accomplished it very professionally. I wasted an additional $80 ordering the unit with Quick Disconnect Bracket however. Since I permanently wired the motor in, the bracket was useless. The thing I DON'T like about this motor is that the battery capacity lights stay on all the time unless you remove wiring from your battery. It seems a master ON/OFF function would have been so simple to include.

Remote was easy to use, ran all day with battery power left. You can't hear any noise, low vibration. Really well made. Wire that went from box to head unit is heavy duty. Bracelet was easy to mount, an sturdy. Quick detachment from bracelet.

So easy to use. The quality and performance of this trolling motor is amazing. So light weight and the noise is not over powering. The battery life is a plus. Can’t beat using a remote to get you around. Will never go back to a pedal.
