Let me say, I could write a book on how amazing their customer service is. Very responsive, helpful, knowledgeable, all around amazing. The motor is great! Pairs easily with remote, uses less power than initially thought, remote battery lasts 20+ hours on a charge. If i could give this more than 5 stars, I would. ... show more

  • Seems well made
Color: 2.4 G Remote Control 66W
I haven't had the opportunity to try this motor out on the water yet due to my waterways being iced over. Initial impressions are good tho. The motor seems well built. I hooked it up to a battery and everything worked flawlessly. The speed ramps up smoothly. Turning is smooth and quick. No vibrations at full speed even out of the water. There is an audible beep with every button press. I don't find it overly loud or annoying. Others have mentioned trying to silence the beep. I would avoid doing this especially in a kayak. The motor turns quickly and at full speed I like to hear the beeps when I push the turning buttons so as not to go hard over! They claim the weight of this motor is 26lbs, it feels heavier than that to me although I haven't weighed it. If the 26lbs is correct then this motor is right in line with most of the other big name electric kayak motors. Initial impressions are good. I have high hopes for it. The only thing I would like to see installed is some sort of kill switch or Deadman switch so in case you fall out of your kayak while underway your boat isn't motoring away from you. Docking 1 star for no kill switch! ... show more

  • Paperweight due to lack of support from seller
Color: 2.4 G Remote Control 66W
Great Product! However fun while it lasted crazy to think 500$ motor remote control goes out in a year. What’s even crazier, the seller has no solution to provide besides a foot pedal buy, which makes no sense and impractical so basically this is just paperweight now. Buyers Beware

  • Changed my life unloading
Color: wireless Remote+Foot 50706 66W
Love it. Works great on my power 100 kayak. I wish it was a lil slower but its not bad. Remote works GREAT! Unloading and loading is so easy. Just go get the truck and drive it to the trailer. Unloading is just back in and let it float away while parking and drive it back to pick u up at the dock. Worth every penny ... show more

  • Good & Bad
Color: Remote and Foot Control 100B
Bought this trolling motor due the ability to clamp to front of my small 2-person bass boat and have foot control. Like another person said, the motor is great and the remote is nice. My son and I unloaded boat and used remote to bring boat back to boat ramp. However, the foot pedal on the other hand is a pain in the neck due to it's large size and stiff buttons. It's easier to use two feet to control it because the buttons are too stiff and sometimes you can't get it pushed or push too hard and turn too much. Plus if you swivel the boat chair to fish out of the side of boat, it's impossible to use the foot pedal so you have to use the remote but then you have to keep your hand on the remote to constantly steer. Also, if the speed is faster, the boat turns faster and find myself constantly correcting direction. If there is any wind on the water, it makes it even harder to use. If you are into doing donuts on the water with your boat, this is the motor for you! I find myself having to fiddle constantly with the remote to keep on course, so then don't get to fish. If you anchor and fish, this would be great. The motor does have alot of speed. Back to the foot control...it does have an LCD screen to see how fast the motor speed is and if the motor is on or off which is very helpful, so I keep the foot control within a few feet for that option because the motor is super quiet. It is not a lit screen, so it's hard to see closer to evening or early morning. It's a strong motor and have had zero problems with it but the foot controll needs work. Oh, and if using the remote, you can connect either end to the landyard depending whether the motor is mounted to front or back so the right button turn you right and left turns you left! The foot pedal can do the same. One last thing, if you have a person on the boat along for the ride and doesn't care if they fish, it works great to let them drive! My son actually put the foot control on his lap and used his hands to steer boat that way we both could control the boat. ... show more

  • Light weight, small footprint, and big power!
Color: Hand Control 12V 65LBS
The media could not be loaded. Regular trolling motors weight too much and take up too much space on my little 12 foot boat (with all my fishing gear and 10 hp on the transom). The picture is a comparison between this brushless motor and the Newport Vessell 55lb thrust motor. The brushless motor has a small lower end that doesn't hit my outboard when they are both on the back of my boat. The brushless has a much great thrust to weight ratio. The brushless weighs 14.5 pounds compared to Newport Vessell's 23.2 pounds which makes a big difference when I ask my sweetie pie to bring me a beer and my trolling motor. The only negatives I see so far is the head unit on the brushless does not seem as durable as other trolling motors largely in part to the tilt handle which gives it a cheap feel. The other issue is the brushless takes power when even in the off position so when you attach a battery expect to get some sparks. Updated (5/15) Finally got it out on the water. Included a picture of the motor mounted on my 12 foot metal boat. On the lowest setting my boat goes 1 mph (which isn't great if you wanted to troll at .5 mph). The top end with my outboard in the water (drag) was 4 mph, probably get 5 mph if I tilt my outboard up. It does make a noticeable noise at the lowest setting. The performance is as good if not better than the motor I replaced. I did rotate the power head so I could use the motor on the front of my boat. You can see the inline breaker I installed so that I could easily turn off the motor without having to disconnect it from the battery. ... show more
