I had been looking for a rear mounted trolling motor that is foot controlled and remote controlled. I could not find one. I didn't want to frankenstein a bow mount trolling onto onto my kayak. I found this one. I have had it the water now several times. Flawless operation. Works perfectly. Love the remote. Some say the foot pedal is a little big but I like it because it easy to maneuver my foot around it. You can stand and fish in my kayak like a bass boat. The remote really shines with this. Overall I love this trolling motor. It serves a need in the market for a transom mounted motor that can be controlled by a foot pedal. However I would love to see some improvements. The foot control is far too large. I think it makes sense to have a large base since it cannot be mounted and this gives it stability. However, the button spacing is extremely difficult to use with your foot. The buttons require a lot of pressure resulting in a foot control that is barely usable and quite frustrating. I typically have to use my heel and awkward positions to keep control. I find myself using the handheld remote more often than the foot control (which reduces the point of wanting a foot control). The shape of the hand held remote should be improved. It is the same shape on the top and bottom so unless you’re looking at the remote It is easy to mistakenly use it upside down resulting in movements in the wrong direction. If the remote was shaped slightly different on the top or bottom you would recognize this immediately without looking at it. The motor is also quite sensitive to weeds. Even slight weeds gives the motor a lot of difficulty in the water. My Minn Kota is able to perform much better in the weeds. A weedless type of propeller would be a great option. Controlling the motor is great but smaller tuning in the angle would be better.

We bought motor in April '23 to replace a Minn Kota 55lb on our 14ft Jonboat. Due to an illness in family, we were not able to use it until a few weeks ago. The battery had gone bad in the remote. I worked with Alice at the seller and she quickly sent me a replacement. Very pleasant customer service experience. The motor has been working great around our lake and seems to have same power as motor it replaced. Very satisfied with purchase.

Bought last summer for an install on a small skiff rebuild. Finished boat in the fall and tested the motor before storing for the winter and everything worked. Pulled the boat out of storage for the summer season and the motor wouldn't turn left or right with the remote or foot control. Seller sent out a new replacement and it arrived within a week after notifying them. Great company to work with and I'm hoping the new motor will be trouble free. Gave 5 stars based on customer service and will leave that rating as long as the motor holds up and is reliable.

Bought this trolling motor due the ability to clamp to front of my small 2-person bass boat and have foot control. Like another person said, the motor is great and the remote is nice. My son and I unloaded boat and used remote to bring boat back to boat ramp. However, the foot pedal on the other hand is a pain in the neck due to it's large size and stiff buttons. It's easier to use two feet to control it because the buttons are too stiff and sometimes you can't get it pushed or push too hard and turn too much. Plus if you swivel the boat chair to fish out of the side of boat, it's impossible to use the foot pedal so you have to use the remote but then you have to keep your hand on the remote to constantly steer. Also, if the speed is faster, the boat turns faster and find myself constantly correcting direction. If there is any wind on the water, it makes it even harder to use. If you are into doing donuts on the water with your boat, this is the motor for you! I find myself having to fiddle constantly with the remote to keep on course, so then don't get to fish. If you anchor and fish, this would be great. The motor does have alot of speed. Back to the foot control...it does have an LCD screen to see how fast the motor speed is and if the motor is on or off which is very helpful, so I keep the foot control within a few feet for that option because the motor is super quiet. It is not a lit screen, so it's hard to see closer to evening or early morning. It's a strong motor and have had zero problems with it but the foot controll needs work. Oh, and if using the remote, you can connect either end to the landyard depending whether the motor is mounted to front or back so the right button turn you right and left turns you left! The foot pedal can do the same. One last thing, if you have a person on the boat along for the ride and doesn't care if they fish, it works great to let them drive! My son actually put the foot control on his lap and used his hands to steer boat that way we both could control the boat.
