I'd been wanting glass lids for my tanks for a while. I've been doing an overhaul—I had two 10-gallon tanks, one 6-gallon tank, and one 5-gallon tank, all of which housed one betta each. To consolidate space and power a little bit, I split the two 10-gallons in half, but I was worried the bettas might jump over the divider with the slanted hood lid that came with the tanks. So I ordered two of these glass lids. The seller contacted me within the hour, as they wanted to make absolutely sure that the size I ordered was the size I needed. When I confirmed that it was, within twenty minutes I got the notification that the lids had shipped. When I received the lids, they were very well packaged and wrapped, with the two glass pieces already hinged together. My only complaint—I want to preface it by saying I think it was user error (ie, I just didn't know what I was doing lol)—is with the plastic add-on piece that can be cut to accommodate the tank accessories. I had so much trouble getting them onto the glass sections—I wanted to just snap them on, but I couldn't get it on that way and ended up having to slide it very tediously along the glass until it was in the correct position. I kept worrying I was going to scratch or break the glass in the process. Then I tried cutting the pieces out with an Exacto knife like I'd seen someone else say in a review, but it was taking a really long time, and I discovered scissors worked just as well. So when I needed to cut a piece out of the middle of the edge, I used the scissors for the two sides and then the exacto knife to score and remove the last piece. I would also say put the add-on on before cutting the pieces. With the second lid I cut the plastic first but then had only cut edges to hold onto when I was trying to slide it onto the glass. Again I believe this was all user error and there was most likely a much easier way to do all of that, but just wanted to add it in case someone else is clueless like me, lol. Other than that, I really like the lids. They're a lot sleeker than the plastic hood lids I had and even though I've only used them a few days so far, it seems like they'll help slow evaporation and even though they don't have lights (which I'll be researching later), it's less necessary since the lid is, obviously, glass. Anyway, I'll definitely be buying another one for my single 5-gallon tank, as I ended up getting another betta lol

Bought both tops for 10 gal and 5 gal. tank. The 10 gallon Fits on tank great. Opens up all the way, easy to cut back panel to fit filter and heater. Easy assembly. Almost thought handle was missing. Was on bottom of box though. 5 gal. Model fit fine, but I had to turn it upside down to get front glass panel to stay closed. Wasn't heavy enough to stay closed like 10 gal. model. But I am fine with that. Both sizes look great and are clear to see fish. Can rest LED light on top if it isn't too heavy. Don't rest a drink on it though, seems like it would break. 😄 I am happy with this product.

I am very happy with my order and the customer service was amazing! My first box arrived and had been abused by UPS. I followed the directions included with the package and sent pictures recording the condition of the package. That very same day they shipped out a replacement which arrived in perfect condition. The glass canopy fits perfectly and definitely is helping with the evaporation problem. It was easy to install and to cut out the area that I needed for the HOB filter that I had in place. I am very happy with this product and would order it again if I ever needed to.

I bought this canopy to replace a perhaps 20 year old set. The glass is clear, hinges are solid and appear to be of a good plastic. The glass though is thinner than previous ones I have had. Perhaps this adds to the clarity, I do not know. With it being lighter and thinner it is more difficult to keep exactly in place. This replacement is a fraction of an inch shorter than the original which is just enough for it to slip off the lip on one side into the tank. I have to be much more careful with this one.

Fits my fish tank perfectly but make sure you get the correct measurements because the company does not do refund or exchanges if you order the incorrect size. Also, the tabs at the top used to open the lid does not have a good adhere to it. You will need to replace them with a better glue.

Lid fits beautifully on my topfin 20 gallon. I tried so many lids, even the one from topfin and the dimensions were always off. Super frustrating. But this fits beautifully. I didn’t need to use the plastic insert because I wanted the opening for Pothos :)
