What's Most important for customers to know: THERE IS NO NEED TO BUY A CHILLER WITH USING THIS PRODUCT. Size of Aquarium: 55 Gal Fish: 4 Goldfish. Snails: 8 Plants: Live I researched and researched the best and ethical ways to keep consistent temperatures for my 55 gallon and I was convinced by google and fish chat threads that a aquarium Cooler was going to be the best fit. However Coolers are expensive, unsightly (At least for me) and I wasn't about to have my electric bill fly through the roof so i felt at my wits end. I bought two of these thinking it was going to bring down the temp just a little bit but better than what it's been at due to the heat. Not only did it work, but when I woke up the temperature was steady AND at it's most minimal for Goldfish. e.g 64 Degrees. Note: I want to make sure it's around 72 usually so that the fish aren't lethargic but I had both fans on high so seeing how well the temperature was was SO relieving. I honestly thought my fish were going to die as two days ago my temperature for the tank was 80-82 and that's unacceptable for these types of fish. Additionally I feared that it would be too hard to cool my 55 gallon but I was willing to try anything and these fans have surpassed all of my expectations. Size: They're bigger than i thought they were. Somehow I felt like the pictures on amazon were smaller but they're a good size. Attaching: Comes with a back clip, you stick it in the holds and adjust the fans onto the rim of your tank. It doesn't even take 2 minutes. It's pretty easy to use too - Three buttons to choose from and you're good to go. Temperature Adjustment time: Within the first hour I noticed my tank was about a degree cooler and I had both fans on high. In the morning it was significantly lower. Build: I'm not impressed that these fans are not water proof so placement is important and their warranty doesn't cover water damage but I can't complain too much since the cost is just right. Noise Level: Very low. It's slightly noticeable if you're actively listening for it. Build Quality: To me it feels cheap. It doesn't feel like a unique product, but it does the job and it does it exceptionally well. Thank you to the seller for saving my tank!!! ... show more

Even on the low setting, it dropped our 20gal tank from 68° to 65°. The low setting is very quiet, hardly noticeable along with our sponge filter air pump. The medium and high are a decent bit louder, as the medium seems much closer speed to though than it does to low. It’s like it’s 20%, 80%, 100%. Another awesome thing about this fan, is that even if it looses power, it comes back on automatically when power returns, even at the setting it was last left at. That’s extremely appreciated. My biggest complaint is that the USB is oriented straight off the back, which would’ve required moving our tank an inch or two further away from the wall in order for it to clear. If it had been oriented downwards, or positioned on a side, this would not have been an issue. My solution was to purchase a 90° usbc cable, which cost almost half what the fan did, unfortunately. As this may not be an issue for other set ups, and was a solvable issue with additional expense, I decided not to detract any stars, even though I believe it is area that could use improvement. ... show more

Update on product and review. I gave a low review previously because I received the item on time but it was not fully operational. Out 2 fans on the system only one fan worked. Once I contacted Amazon, the seller was quick to send a replacement. Having the product working to full capacity has helped tremendously with keeping my Fluval Flex 32.5 gallon saltwater tank within the prescribed temperatures. This is a solid product for tank hobbyist looking for a way to cool your tank without installing a chiller. Hangs on the tank with a solid bracket, and like that it has three different fan modes. I would recommend this product. My first review when the item was not fully operational: Item arrived on time. It looked very promising and was rated as Best Seller. I hooked it up and only one fan works on it. It would be prefect for my tank if I had both fans fully operational. ... show more

This genuinely worked much better than what I expected. Lower fan level has minimal noise, but highest fan level is a little noisy, as you would expect a fan to be. It is very slim, and fit well on my tank and helped extraordinarily. This is worth the price I paid, and more. This should be a must for any axolotl tank!!     • Power Cord could use a better connection on the chiller
When the fan works, it works great, first day it cooled the axolotl tank quickly. The power cord seems to have problems staying connected generating power, like there is a short in the cord or cord not properly connecting to chiller . This has been an issue from the moment I unboxed the chiller.

There is really nothing special to this fan. It doesn’t do anything a regular fan that you can attach to your tank would do. I thought it would do a much better job than what it does. I’m returning it. I don’t recommend purchasing it. Just get a chiller.
