Been using it for about a week now and it keeps the tank at a stable 79F. Had a Fluval fail on me within a month of operation and I have a cheaper Aqueon that performed better than the Fluval but didn't allow for set temperature. I had two separate thermostats to monitor and it's within 2 degrees off with each of them being on the opposite end of the tank. It isn't perfect but it works well for the price and small enough for better placement in the center of the tank all the way down at the bottom. ... show more

Edit to add. The company reached out after I posted my review. They stand behind their products and offered me a new heater or my moneyback. They did what they could to make it right and I appreciate that! I purchased this in March 2023 and it recently started sparking on the inside. I had it set at 78° and my tank never got above 72°. I have a 10 gallon tank and I bought the reccomended heater. My rabbit snail perished due to low tank temperature. ... show more

Love the size for a tank that may be 10g or less. I have a 6 gal. and I do not heat my place to help the tank water temperature reach its optimal equilibrium.
