It is advertised as "Kink + Twist Free" but my hose definitely twists and kinks. I like the color (it matches the Aqua Joe sprinklers I purchased for the garden), but it is a pain to drag from the hose hook-up to the chicken coop when it's time to clean and re-fill their water. I must stop and untwist and un-kink several times before the whole 50 feet is extended. I don't know how durable it will be because of this problem...only time will tell. I like how easy it is to hook up to the faucet and add the hose sprayer. The connections are well made and should outlast the hose. I gave this hose a four-star rating based on the other "Joe" products I have purchased. If not for the problem with the kinking and twisting I would have given it a 5-star rating. ... show more

I am happy with this hose and how it handles without snagging or tangling. I just bought a second one. I have gone through 8 hoses in 25 years. The Florida Sun and heat causes kinking then splitting. This hose after 18 mow is like new. I keep them on a hose rack and they don't kink. More of a soft rubber, these hoses spring back into shape. I added a second. There is also a great warranty on this product. Plus this is my favorite color and matches my house trim. ;) ... show more

    • The screw hose fitting started to leak after a year.

I liked the hose but the female hose connection slipped off the hose. I put a SS screw clamp on it and it stayed on but a week later the aluminum female connector developed small holes in the metal between the hose part and the aluminum nut so I will replace with a brass connector from Amazon. I do not recommend this hose ... show more

Great hose for a good price. It’s well made and sturdy, while being flexible, which is important. I have another non-kinking hose that is so stiff and heavy, I never use it. This Aqua Joe hose is perfect. Lightweight and very flexible. I don’t understand the complaints from people about kinking. Since hoses are packaged and stored wound up, they can take on that shape. But with this hose, because the material is soft and flexible, if you unroll the hose, it lays out perfectly smooth. And it does not kink. If people are just pulling on it without rolling it out, I guess they could create kinks, like you could with anything. Believe me, I’ve had kinking hoses and this is not one. This is the best hose I’ve ever had. And the fact that it’s a drinking water safe makes it that much better. ... show more

I've learned not to give reviews until after I've had products for a while. Within about 9 months my hose turned into a moldy black mess, so bad I didn't want to ever use/touch it. So I went online and googled how to get the mold off and read to soak it in white vinegar for 30 mins - did nothing so left for almost a week. It did remove maybe half of it, but noticed the black mold changes the color of the hose so it won't be the pretty Aqua Joe color anymore. The attached pic is AFTER I soaked it for a week so you can see it's no longer the color of the matching hose nozzle laying next to it. AND, it has always kinked up, right out of the packaging - BADLY!! ... show more
