Despite the reviews of those who received faulty MacBooks, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the computer looked brand new. There were little to no marks on the outer shell, the screen looked as if it had never been touched before, and the keyboard was spotless. Although, the box came with no official apple packaging and the charger was third-party, the solid drive was wiped clean and the physical aspects were flawless. The media could not be loaded. As soon as I activated the laptop, I received a "Service Battery" notification. According to Apple, this means "The Battery isn't functioning normally, and you may or may not notice a change in its behavior or the amount of charge it holds. Take you computer in for service." This problem was apparent immediately, as the battery percentage would jump from 80% to 40% in a matter of seconds, then return to 80% without touching a charger. The computer also died abruptly just to power back on a few seconds later with full charge. On top of this major problem, the laptop arrived with two unattached keys. Not only are the keys not attached and have the habit of falling out, but they often do not respond when clicked on. If you're planning on buying a 2019 Macbook Pro, I highly recommend it, it seems like a great laptop. But not from this seller. ... show more

I have been a bit skeptical about buying a refurb Mac (not from Apple) and I have to say, looking good so far. The computer arrived in actual MacBook Pro box, wrapped in bubble wrap inside a shipping box. It came a day early as well. Turns out and seems to have no issue so far. My only complaint is, it wasn't super clean or anything. I did give it a quick wipe down and all is well. I did take the extended warranty through Amazon, so that helped me put my mind at ease. Mac itself was in great condition. Good speed, no lag. Lightweight, sleek dark gray finish. Only frustration is the charger it came with doesn’t work. It worked a few times within the first week, then completely died. The charger was lightweight and cheap, and not an original Apple product. Technically it's an ok purchase. It worked out the box. Came with a charger that only charge once then it didn't work again. The letter "D" is faulty and doesn't work when typing normally. I have to press it a few times to get it to work. Not much wrong with actually body. Some of the keys seem to act as if they are being long pressed when pressed normal, and they rapidly repeat the character. Charge last about 2 hours if being used constantly. I originally got it to save money and maximize storage and RAM. But I'm going to return it and more than likely get the Air with M1chip and 512G storage. What can I say about what I hate about this macbook? How about EVERYTHING. The keys are too shallow so half the time they don't type or type all together without spaces. I have to retype constantly and I never do with any other mac or computer I have ever used. The thing shuts off intermittently. The battery life is the worst I have ever had. This pile of junk is a complete waste of money. Instead of buying this garbage maybe set a pile of money on fire. It's far less aggravating. ... show more
