Amazon however is AMAZING with returns even with third party clients. I’m in school so I ordered this 2017 pro before returning the POS air. THIS computer may as well have come directly from the box new. No scratches, battery in great condition, no damage anywhere. Hardware, software, aesthetics… everything is perfect. I wish I’d have gone with this first. The air won’t even factory reset. I have to go to the Apple Store just to return it. I am SO happy with this 2017 pro purchase. I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed with the of this laptop. I had high hopes when I purchased it, expecting it to be in "excellent refurbished condition." Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Right off the bat, as soon as I opened the laptop, I noticed debris all over the screen and keyboard. It was not a great first impression. To make matters worse, there are several deep scratches and very noticeable dents on three of the four corners of the screen, as well as two on the keyboard. Another letdown is the keys. The "a" and "e" keys have clearly rubbed off from use, which is expected for a used laptop. However, instead of replacing them, they simply put stickers over them. To top it all off, the screen is covered in what appears to be small chips or scratches. I could overlook these cosmetic issues since I purchased a case that covers most of them. Unfortunately, I have my concerns about the performance of it as well. Firstly, the battery has already reached 573 cycles. Service is already being recommended. Furthermore, the generic charger that is included takes an incredibly long time to fully charge the battery and, to make matters worse, it gets excessively hot during the charging process. Lastly, even during regular usage, the laptop itself tends to become very hot after just a couple of minutes. Considering these performance-related issues, it becomes increasingly difficult to justify the purchase of this laptop. The only reason I am hesitating to return it is because I urgently need a laptop for school, and I simply do not have the time to ship it back and wait for a replacement. ... show more

Really great MacBook for single Mom's (or anyone) on a budget. Got this for my Daughter who's a senior, so suffice it to say, she's on it a lot. Aesthetically, it's in pristine condition and looks new. Battery life is subpar, and the MacBook gets hotter than it should even with heavier usage but truly still worth the purchase. You save hundreds of dollars and it really works great if you can deal with the few issues that come with any refurbished electronic! ... show more

I was concerned buying this due to certain reviews. Once purchased it took about 1 week to get here. On opening it the charger did not work, that isn’t a big deal to me because of the fact I have another charger. If it were to be someone else it would be a different story. It was dead and took about 5 minutes to turn on when plugged in. When I looked closer at it I noticed a few scratches and marks but nothing I would be concerned or upset about, let’s be real it is a refurbished 2017 Mac Book. I was able to login quickly and everything has been working so far. I did have to do a software update because it wasn’t updated since 2021. All in all, I think it is worth the money. After two years of use and a $700 investment, the battery (which has been problematic for the last few months) suddenly ceases to operate. Even though it’s plugged in, it refuses to power on. And make no mistake: this MacBook has been given every possible precaution imaginable to prevent any conceivable malfunction. Not once was it left on the charger for a minute longer than necessary (which can, and does, fry the battery prematurely), it was never dropped, subjected to extreme temperature, or handled in any way that could explain its total, abrupt failure. Forgive me, maybe I’m irrational, but it just seems to me that (refurbished or not) a MacBook Pro shouldn’t be failing in any capacity within such a brief timespan. I withheld a negative review and decided to contact the seller first, but after receiving a reply that basically says “not my problem, after 90 days you’re on your own,” I think that this is warranted. These are supposed to be superior machines that deliver the best performance, and the product page is overloaded with the typical “promises of quality” and (false) assurances of their commitment to high standards. What a humiliating, colossal joke - and since I rely on my MacBook to earn a living, they’ve really proven how much they care about their customers’ experiences. Save your money. Buy a MacBook from a random, toothless stranger peddling them in front of a deli or something - you’ll probably find that they’re a much more trustworthy option than whoever’s hawking these abominations. ... show more
