I got the 2015 model that can be upgraded to Monterey. It ran Sierra out of the box and was not sluggish at all, and I was afraid upgrading to Monterey would slow it down. It did not!! It’s fast enough and robust enough to run the basics, and I use it as a server for BlueBubbles so that I can use Messages from my Linux PC. It’s flawless as a server. I expected this MacBook to run slow and to only use it for exporting my Safari bookmarks and running BlueBubbles, but I can see it will probably be able to do quite a bit more than that. I also thought the small hard disk would be mostly consumed by the OS, but this is not the case. One thing that is less than ideal is its screen. I am used to the sharp displays of my iPad Pro and iPhone Pro Max, and the MacBook’s screen is a little “fuzzy” in comparison. I can live with it, though, and you can adjust the display resolution to make everything a little bigger and easier to read. Another thing is that I was expecting it to take a week to be delivered, but it arrived .two days after I ordered it. So the seller is a fast shipper! I had a question about the OS and the seller replied very quickly and was friendly and accommodating. Although Monterey isn’t the latest OS, it is still good enough to run quite a lot of apps. If you can’t find one you need that is compatible in the Apple App Store, browse the web for a slightly older version that will work. Sierra has some issues signing into iCloud these days, so you’ll definitely want to get the Monterey upgrade. All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase, and with the fact that I didn’t have to spend five times as much on a laptop to do what I needed it to do! ... show more

I was very skeptical about buying a laptop online but, it's what my daughter has been wanting for Christmas for years. So, I shopped around and kept watching prices and finally stumbled across this one somewhat on accident. It was exactly what she wanted and was writing my price range (also had more RAM than the others I was looking at!) so I made the purchase. The device arrived sooner than I had expected and was packaged very well. I powered it on and started making sure everything was working properly. I thought the track pad didn't work at first because I've never used an apple laptop and didn't realize you can't just tap on it... (my daughter said it was because I'm old and don't know how technology works...) but, once I got that figured out I was extremely impressed with the device. It was super fast and easy to use. I got everything set up for her except for her icloud account because I didn't want her phone to get notified of a new device and then I charged it up for her to open on Christmas. One nice surprise I found was that the laptop I ordered was supposed to be a 1.6GHz i5 processor, instead, we received a 2.2GHz i7 processor! I was not going to complain about that! There were a couple tiny scratches on the outside of the device but you really had to look for them to find them. Overall, I am super impressed with the quality of the device I purchased from this company and will come back to them again in the future should I be looking for another similar item. Battery life is very short. Barely get through one classes worth of assignments before I have to recharge. But the computer, being refurbished, is in great condition and very fast processing. They sent an aftermarket charger cord that worked exactly once. And they had to send me another one. But in the meantime I had to buy one as I had assignments do. So I’ve purchased several renewed apple MacBooks and I am always happy with them, however, this couldn’t be more of a bait and switch. I know it was cheap but they didn’t even send the product mentioned in the description. This MacBook Air 11 inch is said to have been from 2015….nope more like 2012, it was said to be running the most current MAC OS….Nope Again, can’t update past OS 10! Most importantly though, this MacBook is in deplorable condition. It looks like it was grabbed directly off the counter from a careless child and thrown in a box and shipped. The laptop firstly doesn’t come packaged in the proper air filled bubble wrap it should, was entirely too big for the sleeve it was in, it had about 4 inches space on any side of the cardboard insert it came in, plenty of room to get seriously banged around, it was dirty and this thing looks like it was dropped down a flight of steps, it not only has some minor defects but it has literal gouges taken out of the METAL FRAME where you can clearly see it was dropped several times and dropped HARD. There’s renewed and then there is just plain ripping someone off!!! I’m HIGHLY disappointed with this purchase and I want what I paid for and what was advertised!!! ... show more

Based on the listing, I thought I was ordering an 11" MacBook Air, but what I received was a 13" MacBook Air. Other aspects appear to be as advertised, but the size difference is a big disappointment since I wanted a smaller, lighter, older MacBook Air to travel with. Listing should be corrected.
