I ordered one, and it became apparant there was an issue with the HDMI port. After less than a week it stopped working completely. If this had any of my personal information on it, which thankfully it did not, the computer would be a serious problem with leaked privacy concerns when returning the product. Would I have to send it back and trust the manufacturer to wipe it? would i have to repair the hdmi port to ensure it was wiped myself? The only reason why it gets two stars, is for the few days that it was working, it worked quite well, with great picture and sound quality. I am truely disappointed with Amazon, and the lack of ability to make sure products sold on here are worthy, or an absolute lemon. This has been a nightmare, and a serious threat to personal identity and a leak of information. Amazon is hopefully paying attention with regards to the possibility of full scale scam artestry. When a customer decides to input their full identity into their new computer, they can not access the computer to remove the identity when returning the product. ... show more

    • Does what I need
The computer came installed with Catalina and upgraded easily to Monterey. I use it for iOS development and it does what I need. The HDMI port was not working, it would recognize the monitor or TV but not put a signal out. Not sure if that is a software or hardware problem but using a USB-C DisplayPort-DVI cable connected my old-but-good Dell monitor just fine. I read about issues with Mac HDMI ports so it is probably best to just use the USB-C ports. I appreciate the large number of ports. It is pretty quiet in normal operation and definitely fast enough for the applications I write. In all I am glad I saved money over buying a new M1 Mini. ... show more

    • Better than a laptop
In the past seven years, I have gone through five laptops. Now I decided to try something new and got the mini Mac. So far so good. Based off of the price and how this thing operates, I have a feeling that this will be superior in the long run. I came from windows. Not a hard transition.

    • Terrible experience. Item was likely stolen and not refurbished correctly.
Upon receiving the device, it seemed to work at first but then within a few days certain aspects began shutting down. After attempting to troubleshoot on my own, I contacted Apple support. They kept escalating the issue up to different supervisors as everyone was stumped. Finally, it was determined that the device was not properly refurbished. It was not erased correctly and the previous ownership is causing the device to lock up and malfunction as a result. Apple said that they can’t determine why it wasn’t refurbished correctly, but an item this new sometimes will eventually prove to be stolen. I am so upset. Days of trying to get this to work and now I have to return and pay a restock fee to Amazon. If I could give negative 10 stars I would. ... show more
