Our GPS in our Subaru worked on and off. We were not sure why. We received a recall notice in the mail for our infotainment system. We scheduled an appointment and the Subaru dealer did some type of service. That did not resolve the issue so a new infotainment system was ordered. I took the Subaru in and the new infotainment was installed. Before I left the lot I tried Apple Car Play GPS. The GPS was not working 100%. I went back inside and the tech took a ride with me. The tech asked me what type of cables we had. I let him know they were from Walgreens. The tech said we should be using APPLE cables.     • You should only buy Apple products for an IPhone

I have learned my lesson about buying other brands to charge my IPhone. Many people believe that any charging products are OK. They also don’t realize that the charging block for the IPhone actually has a power surge protector to protect your IPhone from power surges. When we went to Hawaii, I had a very expensive charger from another well known brand. The first night I charged my IPhone my phone would not work the next morning or the entire time I was on my trip, which was a huge problem. The battery was so distended that it was bowing out from my phone. When I got back home, I had the battery replaced and I was told how lucky I was that the battery did not burst and fry my phone and all of my data. I was then told to only buy products from Apple for charging. Apparently Hawaii is known for power surges and there are other places or events that can cause this as well. My cat unfortunately chewed a few areas on my charging cord so I had to replace it and I purchased this. I also purchased protectors for all of my cords, specifically made for cats, so they can’t get to any more cords like this around my home. I don’t spend the extra fees for phone insurance so it is important to me to protect it as much as possible. Using Apple products to charge your phone may be more expensive, but they are made well and specifically designed for these phones. It is worth it. It is also really nice that you can buy much longer cords than the ones that come with the phone. ... show more
