    • Stops Working After 30 Minutes or so... [Edited]

I bought this product for my desk so I could charge my phone while doing work. As soon as it arrived, I plugged it in and placed my phone (iPhone XS Max with OtterBox case) on it and the blue light turned green and my phone signalled it was charging - great! Or so I thought. After about 45 minutes, I looked over to see what percentage my phone was at and the light was off completely on the charging base and my phone was no longer charging. I figured my outlet was bad so I switched outlets and it began working again... for about 30 minutes until it went out yet again (which honestly pissed me off). I went to unplug it and realized it was probably an overheating issue that caused the base to shut off, but quickly realized this wasn't the only case after I tried to use it the next day. I plugged the base back in near my desk (and it worked, blue light and all), put my phone on it and it was charging (green light). 10 minutes later I received a phone call and lifted my phone off the charging base, and the light suddenly went out on the dock. After the call, I tried to put my phone back on, but the charging dock had stopped working entirely after lifting my phone off prior. Again, I tried a different outlet but the same issues occurred. Now I am left to think maybe it's the wall charger adapter I have the cable plugged into..? So I just bought one off Amazon just in case it is actually an overheating issue. Right now I have it plugged into my Apple wall adapter which outputs 5V.. The stand's instructions state it can take up to 15W. I have no idea what this means, but it probably means my wall adapter is not suited for the charging stand and is causing an issue. If the new adapter was the issue, I'll revise my post... but for now... I stand by my rating. [Edit / Update - Previously gave 3 stars] I ordered an Anker wall adapter for the charging stand since I believed maybe it was a volt/watt issue and all my issues have been solved! The charging stand stays on 24/7 and also charges my phone to full. When fully charged the stand light turns from green back to blue. I am still unsure if it keeps charging after the phone is fully charged, but it works great. If you are having issues with this charging stand, I highly recommend following the link to get a better wall adapter. It no longer overheats nor has a volt/watt difference between the two.
