The quality for this product is still amazing and consistent to Apple's standards in 2026. I have switched to a MagSafe charger for ease of use for 2 years now and it will last for far longer when handling the cord with care. Charging speed is great, but do take caution at how it may affect the battery. It does tend to get hot when charging but I can tolerate the heat of the charger. This is my final update on this product. The bottom line is that the Magsafe Charger is a good product. But as many other said, it's a problem that you have to spend another $20-30 for the USB-c charger if you don't have any already. And here is my problem. (you can see from below), mine stopped working after 3 mo. I tried all possible ways to test it, but no success, so I got another one, and that didn't work either, so I took it to Apple store nearby. Genius staff tried all combination (phone, charger, cable, adopter), and to my surprise, he found that the 20W power adapter I bought (since i didn't have any USB-c adapter) was the faulty one. Also, you can check if your Magsafe charger is regit or not by putting your phone on it, and see: Setting>General>About. You should see the MagSafe Charger listed there with model# and firmware version. Do, I leave my original review below but my current MagSafe charger is good, but the 20W adopter was bad/defective. If your MagSafe stop working, first check your adapter. My adopter is out or return/exchange range, so I bought mine from Apple store... Below is my original review.. but it was my adapter and not the MagSafe charger that failed. ----------------------------------------------------- It was working (after spending additional for wall charger adopter ..), but after 3 months, it suddenly stopped working... tried every possible ways to test it, with no success... WHY????? This is THE APPLE right??? It's already past the 30 day return window... Am I to just sit here and cry? Very disappointed.. it might be a rare case that I won a lemon, but since i cannot return or exchange it, I must say it was a waste of money. (I still like apple, and Amazon is still my lifeline... just FYI) Add: Just contacted Amazon customer service. I must add that the customer service (chat) was great and helpful. I have this mounted into a display stand and I’ve never been led astray. My only complaint is, like everyone, the length of the cord. The MagSafe holds the phone in place, but if you are using it to charge your headphones it acts more like a charging pad, with very little grip. I don’t use it much nowadays for charging, but it was my powerhorse as my bedside charging back then. It works for overnight charging for sure, with little experience with fast charging. Would I recommend it? Yes, but with the obvious caveat that there is a better option out there in the MagSafe charger with the longer cord. It is on the pricey side, but it’s a one time purchase really, so that doesn’t bother me. ... show more

Over the 4th of July weekend I got caught in a massive rainstorm during a hike. I was quite relieved after making it out of the woods that my phone still worked (yes, I was that soaked) but upon getting back to the cabin I realized that I could no longer charge the device through the lightning port. Fortunately I was leaving the next day and my car has built-in wireless charging so I figured I was set! Unfortunately the wireless charging capability built into my vehicle couldn't charge the phone enough to come back from the dead so I had a 2.5 hour car ride with no audio and no phone. After getting home I ordered one of these and my phone charges quickly and reliably. I am even able to charge my phone in my car now because it has a USB-C port that I can plug the Magsafe charger into. Obviously I will be getting a new phone when the 16's come out so I have a working charging port but this will most definitely keep things working until that is released in October. ... show more

Still a great charger, but if you’re using an iPhone 16 or newer I’d suggest getting one of their newer MagSafe chargers with allows full Qi2.2 25w charging instead of the 15w that this one is limited to.
